My Shadow Is Pink

I absolutely LOVE this book and cannot recommend it enough. It melted my heart!!! It’s perfect! Short and sweet. Easy to understand. Gets the point across in a friendly way. Great for all ages. Definitely a great purchase!!! So happy I found this family on Tiktok!

This book captures so many beautiful things about being your true self. I am truly grateful that I have My Shadow is Pink (and My Shadow is Purple!) to read to my son. He loves these books and asks me to read them repeatedly! It truly makes me emotional to see the impact it will have and that it is already having on him.

I bought this because it was on a banded book list. It’s a good book no matter your child’s preferences.

This book is so beautiful. I bought it for my kids after I came out as transgender to help explain to them how I felt. It is so helpful and it made me tear up a little bit. It explains gender identity so well without putting big words to it that little kids aren't going to understand.

I got this for my classroom library and my students love it

I bought the pair of books (Purple and pink) mainly to see why they were deemed so controversial. I didn't feel in any way they would influence anyone to consider gender change. I thought, just maybe, people of all ages might be a little kinder to each other.

My daughter loves this book and My Shadow is Purple.

I am the reader for our local Drag Queen Story Time with Miss Majesty. Weekly I read to a variety of children from all background. As a counselor and teacher I must say that this book helps break down gender stereotypes that are both toxic and out dated. I love the way the author relates in a universal matter to all children helping them understand that color has no gender. He also helps them to realize that toys shouldn't be used to enforce gender roles. If a child wants to play with a doll or a truck it really shouldn't matter they should be allowed to explore and understand who they are without judgement. Excellent book and read.

This book is a lovely nod to those who feel they don’t match the expectations of others and are on a journey to accept themselves. It’s also a great example of how a parent can support their child as they grow through their own self-discovery. Yay for being different!!

This is by far my favourite children’s book. It’s so beautifully clever and the meaning of the story is amazing!

J'adore l'histoire, malheureusement j'ai reçu le livre tout tordu, le paquet l'était aussi, c'est donc sûrement plus la faute du livreur que du vendeur mais je préviens quand même.

Questo libro rompe i pregiudizi con una delicatezza e una genialità incredibile.Ho acquistato l'edizione in copertina flessibile, il libro ha una bella dimensione quasi quadrata, bella grande e facilmente sfogliabile. Le frasi sono tutte in rima in lingua inglese ma molto semplice da comprendere e le immagini sono molto chiare e significative.Un plauso all'autore e all'illustratore, serviva davvero un libro così! Spero in una traduzione ben fatta in italiano per il prossimo futuro!
