Drill Chuck, DRILLPRO 2-13mm Keyless Impact Drill Chuck Hand Tool With Lock And SDS Adaptor

Have an SDS impact drill and need to stir tile mortar with a mortar paddle. This worked out great.

Bought this to mix thinset while doing a bathroom remodel. I didn't trust my 1/2" drill to not burn up if I used it to mix the thinset, hence the need for this to add to my rotary hammer drill.It comes in 3 parts, and is easy enough to put together. Like another reviewer said, I added loc-tite to keep it secure. It fit's the SDS drill fine, and held the paddle mixer pretty strongly, which I wasn't sure of since it is a keyless chuck. I used it maybe 5 times to mix thinset, which is pretty heavy and thick, without issue, and I didn't have to re-tighten it. The jaws don't seem to be perfectly machined, so it lost a star for that, otherwise it has done what I have asked it to so far. I didn't have to use my 1/2" drill, and that was worth the price for me.

Second use and it fell apart. Poorly made. I'm lucky I did get hurt.

Other reviewers have complained that this has a plastic housing, keep in mind that this chuck is an insert for your SDS Hammer, it should only be used to accept standard drill bits and only used in the drill mode. Simply put if you need to hammer, use SDS bits as designed. This is a well designed chuck and does what it is designed to do, a much needed addition to your tool box.

it comes as two (3) parts. The stem+screw and chuck. Easy assembly. I added thread-lock for insurance.This is not the metal/steel chuck in the image. The one I got is plastic on both halves of the chuck. This is an important aspect because I wanted avoid surface damage like plastic chucks will get easily.I bought this to use my HILTI TE14 as a wood-drilling tool since I don't do much masonry and it does have a drill-only-mode. It fits and locks in just fine. It doesn't sound like there's a spot of grease in the chuck though and I can't figure out how to add any. It sounds exactly like what a de-greased ball bearing sounds like- marbles down a track.Lastly, the all-metal chuck in the image shows the jaws with a tooth- not this one.

Very good product, i use it for my Bosch RH328VC 1-1/8-Inch SDS Rotary Hammer no issues.

I have come to the conclusion that the Amazon Mafia has completely ruined the review process.So right now there are 3 reviews for this item. Interestingly enough reviewer number 1 and number 3 have the same geberic ID "Amazon Customer". And both reviewed the same two products! Wow, no coincidence there I'm sure!Secondly the middle reviewer also only reviewed two products, oh, did I mention all three reviewers are brand new and have no history such as wish lists or anything similar?Lastly, a keen eye will notice that these reviewers are not using common English. In other words they are thinking in Chinese but writing in English.It's sad to see that Amazon is turning into a Chinese flea market.

I bought this so I'd be able to hold a 1/2" drill with my 3/8" drill. This works, but something better happened! I removed the chuck from my Dewalt DW954 drill and threaded this chuck on. The arbor thread is a match! The screw isn't, so use the original screw if you try this. It's not a great chuck by any means, but now my old drill is a bit more useful and fairly easy to swap chucks if I have a project requiring a larger chuck.
