I use it for the after work hikes on dark trails.It is very bright and can easily be adjusted for the situation (terrain or the on walkers).Batteries (3 aaa) last forever.Be prepared, it takes some getting used to the controls, after that it works just fine or better.Picky user -> approved.

I used this on a recent Boundary Waters trip and was very pleased with this headlamp. I loved the fact that it is dimmable. There were nights I was reading in my tent and the ability to set the light to exactly the brightness I wanted was a big plus. Used it for 6 nights and it was as bright on the last night as it was on the first. I will be interested to see how many trips I get out of it before I need to replace batteries. I think it will be quite a few. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the interface in not supper intuitive. I am guessing with a few more nights of use, I would have had all of the options memorized/figured out. Talking to others in my group that had different headlamps this seemed to be a common theme. lots of functionality in one or two buttons. I would not hesitate to buy again if needed.

This headlight is the perfect product and fits the entire spectrum from a camping trip to a mountaineering expedition.I climbed a 20'000 feet mountain with this headlamp and even though it was entirely covered in ice, it was still bright and all functions were still working! Amazing product.The red light is a great feature for night vision.

Originally I was going to buy a "Vont" headlamp. However reading the one star reviews on it (particularly one done by a person calling themselves "Private Citizen" who recommended this one) so I purchased it. It came with Duracell Batteries, great instructions and worked flawlessly. It even has an LED indicator that tells you when the batteries are getting low. Thanks "Private Citizen," I couldn't be happier in taking your advice!

Lightweight! Works great in all modes and cool sensor to active beam without having to hit a button. Lasts a very long time. We took two of these backpacking and they were perfect for 4 nights without changing the batteries

I have been using a Black Diamond Storm 160 on a daily basis for the last 7+ years. I take my Husky for a nightly walk of 30-45 min. I also used it for camping, ice fishing, and during a couple power outages. A real work horse. The on/off switch failed. Did some research and decided that the Spot 350 met my needs. It is brighter, weighs a lot less and the controls are simple and easy to use right out of the box. I like the feature where I don’t have to constantly adjust brightness when I turn it on. The battery meter is nice too but I got used to changing the batteries when the lamp became dim. If it lasts for 1/2 the time of my last headlamp it will be great.

I took this on a one-night camping trip and it worked great, just as expected for a $40-$50 purchase. All the modes worked as expected and I was delighted. Almost every time since then (probably a total of 24 hours of light on the high end), I've been disappointed because when I use it the light is inconsistent. Whenever I adjust the angle of the light while holding it or while it's on my forehead it will often dim, or just turn off. What's the point of light that won't produce proper light?! I've changed batteries multiple times using different brands and that is not the issue. I've tried to give the headlamp the benefit of the doubt and tested it since in different scenarios to try and fix the dimming/turning off, issue and was unsuccessful. Save your money and buy something of better quality.

I originally purchased this device for my fiance. After we received the headlamp and we started playing with it, I decided to purchase one for myself. The battery life is simply amazing. I no longer fear running out of power, especially when I use the red light. The wide beam is helpful when navigating wide areas or dangerous terrain. The high beam is almost blinding, and that's a great thing when you are out in nature by yourself. The headlamp simply provides me with comfort in knowing that it will conquer any obstacle I put in front of it. The headlamp is very lightweight and comfortable. I have tested the headlamp in florida in a torrential downpour and the unit passed with flying colors. Like I said earlier, do not hesitate. While this unit is more expensive than others, when it comes to your safety it is best to go with something reliable and I stand behind this headlamp!

Excellente lampe frontale très puissante, pratique et modulable.Sert pour la navigation de nuit : Utilisation de l'éclairage rouge pour préserver la vision nocturne. La puissance du faisceau permet de voir les voiles (et autres) du poste de pilotage même avec pas mal d'embruns. La fonction de mémorisation du dernier type d'éclairage utilisé permet d'éviter d'éblouir son équipier et soi-même lors de l'allumage.La recharge par pile est excellente du fait que si les piles sont HS au milieu de la navigation de nuit, il suffit de recharger avec des piles neuves ou rechargées à l'avance (j'utilise un set de piles rechargeables) et la lampe est immédiatement dispo pour le reste de la nuit, on n'a plus qu'à mettre en charge les piles à plat alors que l'accu avec prise USB interdit l'utilisation pendant la recharge.Bref surprenante petite lampe frontale pas cher et étanche : c'est de la bombe !

I received this headlamp and I question the legitimacy of this seller because the batteries included are labelled triple A however they are slightly too short and they do not fit in the device! I have put store bought triple A batteries in and they work so I am very disappointed that the batteries that were included are not actual standard triple A’s.Overall the device works as described and is bright enough for night skiing.
