Well done, sprawling story of life and love
Well written, detailed, complex stories. Likeable lead characters (and well-developed villains). A sprawling novel spanning many years. I fine love story. Few typos. Only 'complaint' in the e-reader edition I have is that the story ended at 71% and the remainder was an introduction to the author's new novel. The problem with that is I saw the 71% and (erroneously) thought there was a lot more of the story to come; thus, it was a bit of a letdown to be abruptly brought to the end :-)

My Review of Starstruck by Nancy Frederick
What could I possibly say that could convey the absolute certainty that you will love these characters. Hollywood glamour, drama, tragedy and the biggest of all ROMANCE! Oh how I needed this! Simply beautiful.

its ok
It was ok. Ended strange....expected it to go further. I liked what I read but it did not seem complete.

Much of the story is told in flashback.
Chose this book because it was about Hollywood and that sounded like the kind of book that could be entertaining. The book turned out to be a whole lot more then that as most of the book was told in flashback. Not that this turned out to be a bad thing as the flashback aspect of the story allowed you to get to know a lot more about the main characters in the book and what their lives were like when they were growing up and how those lives could have led them to the people that they became later on. One plus to the book was that the story was a lot more complex and absorbing then it might have been and that could have been a good thing as it gave me even more of a reason to keep turning the pages to find out what was going to happen.
