Original rating: 2 starsI wish I could give this five stars. It looks so cool. I took it out of the box to see if it works before giving it as a gift to my boyfriend. I noticed the secondhand was not attached and that the pin was split. Also, there was not a battery cover in the back. So sad that I have to send this back, he would’ve loved it.Update:New rating: 3 starsGood news: Amazon replaces the clock. The second hand isn’t broken off. Works when you put in battery.Bad news: still no battery cover. Now I have to explain why there’s a missing piece on a new item for his gift.

That's a direct quote from the receiver of the gift. I told him I was doing Amazon reviews this morning, so he had this to say, "It looks amazing. The red on the face is not as pronounced as it was in the pictures which was slightly disappointing. But overall it's a nice piece." He's a steampunk fan and wanted it for his new home office. Shortly after he had placed it, he texted me that "IT TICKS! Loudly!", but he is sensitive to noises, especially in isolated conditions, and his office was not yet fully furnished. When I asked him about the ticking today, he said he liked it, that it was only a minor complaint, but not enough, even, to warrant removing the battery. The photo is a bit darkened in the corner, but if you look at it full-size, it's finely detailed.

Great clock, lots of fun! But, be aware that the battery it takes is not readily available (it wants a 1.5 Volt battery), so you might have to go out of your way to find one. Incidentally, the price Amazon asks for this clock is significantly lower than the online store where I originally saw it.

This is a resin clock. It's not metal so it's not quite as cool as I was hoping. Also the clock is very loud and the hands are flimsy. It's great if you're going to set it at a distance and discuss it. It's not really an up close item. Still, very cool. Thus 4 out of 5 stars.

The clock I received did NOT have the nice multi-color paint job shown in the ad. It was mostly spray painted a beige color, with some added white on a few of the components, including the wings (which are green in the on line model.) Also, as received, the second hand was loose in the box and bent.

Just beautiful and it's a nice weight. It does tic, but not annoying.

Quality exceeded my expectation, pleasantly surprised! Ordered a third clock of the group!

The clock is great and works fine. It is missing the small black plastic battery cover. Can it be sent to me?

Gorgeous clock with so much detail. Photo doesn't do it justice. So pleased with it and I'm sure my brother will be too as I bought it as a Christmas present for him. Great price for such a beautiful thing.

Zunächst einmal sind Haptik und Wertigkeit der Uhr gut. Sie ist recht schwer und auch ordentlich verarbeitet. Allerdings gibt es zwei Mankos.Zum Einen ist die Farbgebung und Qualität der Bemalung nicht ansatzweise wie auf den Produktbildern. Die Farbe ist sichtbar unsauber und unakkurat gearbeitet, dazu DEUTLICH blasser als auf den Fotos. Es sieht somit absolut nicht nach Messing aus, sondern ist komplett blass-kupferfarben. Das kostet einiges an Flair. Es sieht trotzdem noch ganz gut aus, ist aber eben nicht ansatzweise wie auf den Fotos. Und eben auch sehr unsauber.Das sollte man unbedingt bedenken!Zweites Manko ist das verbaute billigst-China-Uhrwerk. Ein 99ct-Wegwerfartikel, von dem man besser gar nichts erwartet.Es bleibt also eine ordentliche Uhr übrig, deren Kauf man sich aber gut überlegen sollte. Billig ist sie ja nicht unbedingt und für die letztlich vorhandene Qualität ist sie auch zu teuer.

Leider farblich nicht so kräftig wie hier auf dem Bild zu sehen. Die Uhr erinnert an ein frisches, blank poliertes 5 Cent Stück. Von dem Rot auf dem Ziffernblatt ist nichts zu sehen, der "Drachenflügel" erinnert mehr an ein blasses Vanillegelb. Aber trotzdem eine sehr schöne Uhr. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen, auch wenn ich von der Farbgebung etwas überrascht war.
