After readings some negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this item. It arrived in perfect condition and seems vey well made. I suspect the average Amazon driver will not be able to work out how to use it so I have covered it with various signs (purchased from Amazon) to increase the odds of them putting packages inside. Our post-lady started using it straight away. UPDATE The Amazon drivers are using as well!

This parcel box is very sturdy, it is very heavy and solid, it's also weatherproof. The lid is heavy enough, so that the wind can't catch it and lift it to let in water. Best thing ive bought in ages, it keeps everyone safe, no contact deliveries...and the dogs can't pinch the post anymore!

This parcel box was delivered without damage from Amazon. I have had it only two days.I have put it up on the wall outside and it looks good. It is under an overhanging roof, so it is no completely exposed to the elements. The fitting instructions were reasonably good, although there should have been a template to mark the wall where the screws go. I made my own template by taping a piece of cardboard to the back of the box and then marking through the holes with a biro.As others have remarked, it is certainly not easy to put on the wall on your own, as the box is quite heavy to hold in position while you get a couple of bolts in! Help from a second person is advisable.The wall plugs and fixing bolts are of good quality and very strong. I feel entirely happy with the solidity of the box on the wall. I fixed it with the lid just below eye level, as this makes it easy to open the door and take the parcels out with without stooping. See photo.I bought the medium-sized box and I was surprised how big it was! I'm glad I didn't buy the large one. It is a bit bigger, but it is almost twice the price!I did a few tests to see how big a parcel would fit inside. The absolute maximum dimension is dictated by the distance between the struts on the lid of the box. It is 35cm max.The largest parcel I used was slightly smaller, i.e. 31x25x12cm. This was a box for a pair of hiking boots, so it was bigger than a normal shoe box - see photo, with a 1 litre carton of milk for scale. I think a parcel taller than 12cm would fit if it were, say, 20cm deep instead of 25cm.I think this medium parcel box would hold the largest parcel (35x25x12) and a number of smaller parcels, but it would not take two parcels of the maximum size. Alternatively, it would take a fair number of smaller parcels before becoming full. In practise, unless you get a lot of parcels each day, this parcel box should be quite adequate for normal people.Others have noted that the hinges are merely rivets, and that a determined thief could break open the box or even tear it off the wall. These observations are true, but I am happy that this box is a reasonably secure place to put parcels until I can retrieve them.All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

The item arrived on schedule. On initial inspection the item is sturdy, well made and the lock operates easily. I was impressed with the finish of the product which should withstand the UK weather.Further inspection revealed that the item was damaged so I had to return it. Sorry to say I was disappointed.I will order it again so I’m hoping it will arrive undamaged next time.**Update** - the replacement arrived undamaged. It was easy to install and has now been in situ for over a year now. I’m very impressed with the quality of the product and it has withstood the British winter. Delivery drivers use it frequently - it keeps the deliveries safe and dry. Highly recommended now.

Good quality and well designed great colour match with anthracite windows and guttering.

Strong good practical design large enough for a week or more average mail easily fixed to a wall large secure mouth will comfortably accept 2 Kilo package and maintain it securely no intrusive removal Brilliant piece of kit- bit pricy but worth it highly recommended

The mail box arrived and fitted in about 20mins with all the tools to hand. It would have been a good idea to have a fitting template included as it was jolly awkward to fit by myself. And I rather hoped that a 'Please put letters and packages within' sticker be included. I guess I'll have to get one of those.However, it's well made, powder coated and hopefully will defeat the opportunist theif.P. S. There is is a strip of plastic foam included. This goes between the box and the wall to reduce 'wobble' as there is a small clearance to facilitate opening.
