Perfect for Grandma
I sent this to my 80 plus mom for her to fix grill cheese sandwiches on her electric stove. She is pleased with it and says it is not heavy. I sent her no stick spatulas too.

Perfect for My Needs - But Not for a Lifetime
So far I really like it. It heats evenly, cooks evenly, and cleans easily. What a great set of attributes for a reasonably priced pan.UPDATE 10/4/17 - This pan was great for about a year. For the past 6 months, the non-stick finish has been deteriorating and feels rough, like it is coming off. I use this fry pan daily. I only use a plastic non-stick friendly spatula and a sponge made for non-stick pans. It only cost me a about $16 to $17. After a year and a half, I would guess that I have used this pan 700 times, high volume. In spite of what the descriptions say on non-stick pans, they don't last a lifetime, especially if they are heavily used. My Calphalon, Emeril's, and Anolon "lifetime" pans have all suffered a similar fate. The nice thing about this Ecolution pan is its price for the utility it provides.

You get what you pay for.
I give this a 4 star because I've only used it on 'light cooking'. Mostly eggs. It's great right now. Cooks well. But I've not used it much. It's a cheap skillet and a lot of crying in it I think will wear down the coating. Like I said just for ' light cooking ' it's good. You get what you pay for.

Ecolution Evolve Fry Pan, 8-Inch, Black
Great little pan. We've had other Ecolution Evolve Fry Pans and we've been very satidfied with their non-stick, eco-friendly, coatings because they are the only ones we've tried that actually last. We tried T-fal's "Wearever" collection and the coating on those didn't last more than a few months (I handwash our dishes and only use silicone utensils - furthermore, we're on a pescetarian diet & we also eat eggs). The GreenPan Paris 10 Inch Ceramic Non-Stick Fry Pan was even worse than the T-Fal Wearever and we were getting very disappointed with eco-friendly non-stick "solutions" until we came across the Evolve series by Ecolution. The best thing I can say is that they stand up over time and that is something no other eco-friendly, non-stick, set of pans has been able to do in our household.

Great non stick Pan
I have been using the ECOLUTION line of pans for probably 4 years now. I was so impressed with the 1st fru pan I bought from them and its ability to have nothing stick to it that I have continued using them through the years.I have also purchased individual frying pans as gifts to friends of mine who complain about the pots and pans that they. I have made more than one convert through this giftingI recently purchased the smaller Pan just to run to egg omlets in

Beautiful and Functional,
This is a beautiful looking frying pan, but it is also well designed and functional. The thick aluminum bottom spreads the heat well, while the insulated handle stays cool.In order to test the frying pan, I heated it on my gas stove with a little vegetable oil.. The stickiest things that I have are eggs. I started with fried eggs. They did not stick at all. The next time, I tried scrambled eggs. The result was the same; no sticking. This frying pan is a pleasure to use.

The egg whites come out great with just a quick mist of olive oil
I purchased this pan to cook egg whites and tortillas in. I'm on a very restricted diet. The egg whites come out great with just a quick mist of olive oil. I haven't tried making tortillas in it yet, but I'm sure they'll turn out great like the eggs. I have hidden it from my husband so he won't scratch it all up. I really like the weight of this pan. Not too light, nor is it too heavy.
