great so far
Ensure you format your micro SD as transferable media or it stops working after a day, but once I did this- it's been great and the thermal camera works very well. Bluetooth connects well and calls are clear. The camera is so-so but the screen is nice and bright and responsive. Feels very rugged and hope it will last at least 2 years.

More like a normal smartphone -not like previous Cat phones
This phone is Ok. However, it different from previous CAT phones I owed. It is faster/more powerful, less chunky looking (although it is heavy). However, the battery life is nowhere near as good as previous phones and I don't think it as rugged. In the past CAT phones were very different in both looks and performance than standard smart phones- oversized, slower but almost unbreakable and with incredible battery life. This feels like a cross between a traditional CAT and a Samsung phone. Its sits between these in terms of ruggedness, battery life and performance. Personally, I preferred the old tanks.

Another robust quality phone from cat
A robust phone, I got it as an upgrade to my cat s42 which lasted for so many years and never failed us. The only downside is the battery which last slightly less than my s42 but on the other hand the Android version is the latest revision. Battery still last for a full day. I like the flir camera.

Very buggy software.
Chunky and robust but with poor software. This phone has had a few updates but things have only got worse. Sometimes the phone will freeze and requires a reboot using the volume key and off button and holding for 10 seconds. Once it freezes the on/off button alone does nothing.I use two SIMs in this and set the phone to 'always ask what SIM to use' on a per call basis. This setting is not persistent and defaults to SIM 2 to make calls. This needs resetting on each reboot which is about one every ten days or so. Often the Bluetooth will fail to pair when in the car. Asking the phone to 'forget' the connection so as to re pair it fails. You press 'forget' but the connection is still there... Another reboot needed! If you ask Google to call xxxx from your contacts, it says "Calling xxxx" and displays the 'use SIM one or SIM two" message but both are greyed making selection impossible and stopping the call progress. You then have to back out of the menu and dial it manually. Other times this works perfectly, very unreliable when driving! Find a place to pull over while you fiddle with the phone, just to make a call.I reached out to CAT support and they asked for software details from the 'about' screen. They said they were unable to reproduce the faults and suggested I return the phone under warranty for them to check. So far I have not, it's probably just outside the warranty now anyway. The phone seems well made and indeed waterproof. The instructions suggest the phone can be rinsed under water in order to clean it. I have done this a couple of times but when you make a call later there is almost no call volume as the holes for the sound are full of water. Even after hitting on the palm of my hand to shake the water out makes little difference. It does dry out after several hours and the phone is perfectly usable again.I doubt this phone has had much real World testing during its design as these flaws should have been sorted out early on. Thermal camera is good, again software poor. Don't buy this phone just for the thermal imaging, it's too unreliable as a daily driver. Buy a thermal camera instead.I'm disappointed with this and am going to try another factory reset and see if this improves. It's probably too late to return this so I may well be faced with the cost of replacing the phone as it's so unreliable. it won't be another CAT!

Excellent phone
A bit on the heavy side, but an excellent phone regardless. Already received android 11 update, smooth performance. I can’t complain.I have come from Samsung Galaxy S10 (owned all previous Galaxy flagships). Wanted something with more feature this time - thermal camera.Battery lasts over 2 days. Something I have never ever experienced before. I dont know what others are complaining about, maybe they are more used to big fat phones with XL batteries.

It's a robust phone.
The phone itself is as it says in the description very tough, it's by no means sleak or light but it is definitely tough, it was bought to replace a Cat S61 which lasted years. The S62 so far hasn't disappointed, two days into owning it I dropped it screen down from about 5ft onto a terracotta tiled floor it survived without a scratch. Just what I have come to expect from these phones, not sure about how waterproof it is yet not got it wet.
