Detailed and comprehensive book on depression.
In the first 400 pgs, the author nicely details all you need to know about depression, root causes, how it presents in different cases, severity levels etc. Many exercises and examples are given to help you sort out your thoughts and breakthrough negative thought patterns. Must read if you are feeling depressed but want to try helping yourself once before seeking a therapist. The next 250 or so pages are about the evolution of mental health medical science and very detailed information on antidepressants and other drug therapies, which can be useful for people on antidepressants or mental health professionals.

Amazing book
I am a patient of anxiety and depression after taking many medications and visit expensive psychologists...I came upon this. In short Dr Burn proves that getting out of depression can be done without meds or psychologists......by bio therapy. 10 week program if followed can create wonders and that to by relying less on medications as you go through this book week by week. I also bought Ten days to self esteem bybthe author and it's magnificent.

A must read book for the individuals who are on antipsychotic medication. It can help you as a psychotherapist. This book clearly picturise about mental health issues and giving solution to every problem.

Good book
It is good book for phycology enthusiast, there are various experiments which aftersometime gets bored of but, for a depression patient reading this may work well.
