So good I got another
I purchased one of these to help me with my crafts, my husband took a fancy to it so I got him one ;) anyway, the head piece it's self is comfortable and snug without being painful. Made from good quality materials with plenty of magnified lenses. The head gear has a padded, adjustable band to keep it a snug it, you don't want it slipping all the time. It has a light on the front that has 3 modes on it. It has two adjustable lense holders with a close up drop down lense for those tricky moments. The lense holders themselves also move in and out depending on eyesight, and the front piece moves up and down for comfort and viewing angle. The whole headpiece even with lenses attached is lightweight, the actual design is well thought out.I'm very often asked by people where I got it from (don't worry, I'm not wearing it on a night out) but I do tell alot of people about it, especially when I see them squinting.Don't second thought this as it's a very well thought out item that's a very good price.

Great for model/miniature painting
Not sure what Sheerness or Thickness are when it comes to this review but this magnifier is great. getting on a little as I am I needed something to help with close up detailed model work. I make models and paint miniatures and I wear glasses so the sort that can be worn like glasses were no good to me. This headband style is much easier for me and works great. there is quite a small sweet spot to get used to when positioning the lenses and holding the model at the right place but a little practice and trial and error and its easy enough to get used to. The light on the top is also handy but as with any model painting and detail work having lots of light in the room always helps to get an even coverage to be able to see all the very fine details.I don't know if this is something that could be used for long periods on time though as I found it started to give me a little eye strain if used for too long in one go but luckily its easy to look away from the lens while its still on and still in position to rest your eyes.Overall very comfortable and handy bit of kit.

It does the job
I needed something to help me when working on my hobby of building model ships as my eyesight was getting a bit difficult especially when just depending on my varifocals. So far I am quite pleased with this headband magnifier. I am a bit apprehensive about the longevity of the item as it is very plasticky; it has the look of being some sort of tech toy rather than a serious instrument. Nevertheless, it does the job. Being plastic makes it lightweight and the headband part is comfortable, although I wouldn’t want to wear it for long spells. The lenses, I must say, are excellent and can be set up in all sorts of combinations and have a good field of vision. On the model that I have one of the lens holding clips is a little bit loose. The hinge of the lens holder has a metal screw and I was tempted to try and tighten it but I was wary of tightening a metal screw into plastic so I left well alone. The small lens on an arm to the side is also a bit wobbly although that lens is quite useful. The led lights work fine and help a lot. As usual with many things ‘Made in China’, the instructions do not offer much; the section on the lenses hardly makes any sense, but, in any case, things are easy enough to figure out. As mentioned, I would worry about how it will survive wear and tear over time; some of the plastic is fragile (especially the clips for the lenses) - so handle with care would be advisable. All in all I am happy enough with the purchase; it does what it’s supposed to do but perhaps a bit over-priced.

Very effective magnifier , easy to use
To an old git like me this magnifier was a revalation for detailed work , much better, more effective than I expected , I could see me buying another to have one for the studio and one for the garage.

Binocular Vision Aid
This is a very well-thought-out system. Even the magnification of each lens is noted on the wee tab at the top of the lenses. You will need some practice to get the focal length you require to focus properly on your subject. I bought these lenses to aid my vision which, at the moment, is marred by cataracts. I have managed for a few seconds to hold the book at just the right distance from the headset so that I could read a few words. Now, I have just got to practise until I can read a book for a fairly long time. I'm sure that with patience I'll manage. When you want to charge the battery, the unit with the battery in it seems to come away from the rest of the gadget when the battery compartment has been turned round through 90°. I could write more - such as the way the headband can be adjusted to fit your head - but this is a very cleverly designed device, in all its parts, and I hope you will get much pleasure when using it.

It's ok
It's ok but a bit unwieldy. Can't figure out how to use more than one lens.

Game changer!!
Wow! This is a game changer for those of us struggling to see the tiny things. Whether it’s threading a needle or doing some fine repairs, this is brilliant. It leaves u hands free and although it may look cumbersome, it’s very comfortable and has a variety of lens strengths. It’s so brilliant. My cousin has one and lent it to us when we were trying to see some small details. We actually laughed but boy, once we’d used it, we ordered one too x

Poor quality LEDs
Magnification is good and the unit was great initially, but two of the LEDs failed within a month of purchase rendering it useless to me.
