ImpraSpecial (Big Leaf), 250-Gram Cans (Pack of 3)

Mom gave me a tin of this that she found at Ross for about $3, and it was one of the best black teas I've ever had. I'm a tea snob, no doubts about it, and I like malty, simple, and deeply flavorful blacks. This is not a golden tip tea that costs $15/oz and comes out light gold and complex, this is a great entry into loose leaf tea, it has tons of character and you can drink it all day, every day, without denting your bank account.Steep it for 4 minutes in boiling water (some people say 200, but the difference is negligible) and you'll be rewarded with a dark, rich brew that isn't even slightly bitter. I don't like cream or sugar, but it takes both well.Almost no fannings at the bottom because the tea is sealed in a bag before going in this container, so it can't slosh around and break. Also gives this stuff an absurd shelf life.The tins are awesome, airtight, large, and very reusable.If you drink your tea from teabags or are looking for a cheap everyday tea that doesn't taste cheap, this stuff is without fault. I also highly recommend Impra's earl grey as well, though it uses a different leaf than this, giving a lighter and more floral taste (I like to darken up the earl grey by mixing it half and half with this)

I really like this tea, as I am a fan of loose leaf tea, Impra teas tend to have the best price to quality ratio of any loose leaf tea that I have found. There are better teas out there, but not at this price point. Goes well with breakfast if you prefer a black tea to black coffee every morning.

i'm a big fan of tea. I like it. reach taste, good color.The price is good as well for that amount.Forget tea bags - bog leaf will give you nice cup fo tea.

Tea is great. Wish Amazon carry the other versions of Impra tea again.

For the price, this tea is hard to beat. It's smooth, with a hint of bitterness, not overly floral. The large leaf size means you don't end up with powdered bits getting past your filter and ending up in your tea.

Why did the price go up? I bought the same amount (from a different seller) for 19.00 in November. I'm out and I want to order more but it's just too expensive. My 1 star rating is price only. The tea is 5 stars. The best tea to drink with milk.

Wonderfully balanced flavor and what a gteat value !

This is a good tea, except Amazon just raised the price considerably. I'm done with Amazon anyway, because of their censoring policies. I will be buying this tea elsewhere.
