Organic Turkey Brine Kit - 13 oz. Apple Sage Brine with BPA-Free Brine Bag for Whole, Smoked, Oven-Roasted or Fried Turkey by San Francisco Salt Company

I've used this brine kit for 2 years now (and am just now ordering a kit for next month (for Thanksgiving). It sit the bag (with defrosted turkey inside) in a 5 gallon bucket JUST IN CASE and stick it in our spare fridge in the basement for at least 24 hours. Then I take it out on the day, rinse everything off, rub the turkey with seasoned butter (under the skin as well as on top of the skin) and throw it in my electric roaster. Yum yum, delicious and moist turkey!

If you've never Brined a Turkey before roasting, you're missing out!Usually concoct my own Brine solution, and find a cooler to fill up with water and the mix, then have to clean the whole mess.I'm regular user of San Francisco Salt Co. products, so when I saw this kit on their website I was intrigued.I was not disappointed, and glad I ordered in early November before Amazon ran out.The turkey was the most moist and tender Turkey I've ever roasted. Breast meat you could cut with a fork and full of flavor. Legs & Thighs juicy with a nice crisp skin. My only complaint was that it seemed a little salty, but I'm attributing that to the fact that the kit is enough to season a 22lb Turkey and I only made a 14lb, but still used the whole season packet. I could have solved that by adding more water to the bag to dilute the solution, or just not Brine as long ( I had it in the Brine for almost 20hrs. Just overnight would probably have been enough. So just keep that in mind if you are doing a smaller bird.Followed the directions on the package, very easy to use.Will be buying again when it's back in stock, so I have it on hand.Thanks SF Salt Co for a great Thanksgiving meal!

This turkey brine is amazing, my husband likes to use another one but that one is hard to find so this is his second favorite as it works amazing and taste great. It is a bit expensive, but it is worth it.

This is my third time buying this turkey brine because it delivers the moisture and savory I am looking for. Love the smell when heating it up and getting ready to brine my bird. The bag it comes with is tough and large. I usually do around a 17 to 18 pound turkey, but the bag can go way bigger. I always have to roll the bag top down and use small clamps to fully submerge my bird in brine. Tough bag can easily do 20 to 25 pound bird. If your family complains your turkey is dry you gotta try this brine!

I've been hosting Thanksgiving for 20+ years. This year we also held a 'friendsgiving' party. I typically just thaw and season a store bought frozen turkey and cook it in an electric roaster in a cooking bag. The turkey always comes out 'fair' (drier than I like, but flavorful).I figured I'd try a brine on the turkey for the first time and wanted an organic mix for the 'pickier' eaters, so I chose this kit.I was a little nervous because I realized (after ordering), that I had a 20lb frozen bird that already was 'pre-brined' with up to a 9.5% flavor and salt solution.Anyhow, I followed the directions in the kit and then gave the turkey a generous coating of olive oil (just olive oil) and filled the cavity with some poultry herbs and a large quartered onion before roasting.Roasting was done in a counter-top electric roaster (no bag). The results: Literally the best flavored and juiciest turkey I've ever made.I strongly recommend this product and am ordering another kit for the real Thanksgiving right after I submit this review.

Have used this for years and it makes the most moist turkey with little effort. No matter what brand turkey you buy, this brand and process makes it much better. I highly recommend.
