BrooksMen's Dyad 8

I have been wearing Dyads for several years. I have one foot that supinates and this shoe does the best job of coping with it compared to any other shoe I have worn. The shoe is very cushioned but relatively stable. I really disliked the Dyad 9. The changes made it less comfortable and less cushioned than the previous models. The Dyad 10 has rectified all of those issues. I use the shoe for walking, as I can't run anymore. I just returned from 2 weeks in Europe walking over a lot of uneven cobblestone walkways and streets. I never turned my ankle once. My arthritic knees felt just fine. I also like the muted colors of the shoe. The gray is perfect for me with the tan logo ok. I really don't like the garish neon colors that so many shoe companies use these days. The shoe fits perfectly. A little snug in the forefoot, but not so much that it creates a hot spot. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone looking for a cushioned, neutral shoe that has good stability. I'd wear them anywhere.

These shoes do not have a wide toe box, so if you have wide toes like me, I'd recommend another brand over these. Also the fabric material is not that durable and stains easily. I couldn't even wear these shoes while cooking / grilling in fear of staining them with any sort of marinade. Speaking of the fabric, it holds moisture like no tomorrow, so if you sweat a lot in these shoes they will drive even you out of the room with their incredible stink. Also since they are so proficient in holding in moisture, they are a bear to dry after a deep clean, which you will have to do often.The only pro I have is that if you don't have wide feet like me, these shoes are super comfy and supportive. If you plan to wear these when you aren't gonna be super active or in a dry / cold climate they will probably be fine.

Things I like: Shoe fits true to size. I am a 11 1/2 XW but I always buy my running shoes 1/2 a size up. The 12 XW (I have very wide feet) feel very comfortable in the shoe, not tight or loose. I had been using the DYAD 7 for about 230 miles and needed new shoes. The old DYAD 7 were a stability shoe and the new DYAD 10 are a neutral shoe. It took about 45 miles to break these new shoes in and for my feet to get use to neutral (non stability) shoes. They feel great but the DYAD 7 were way more comfortable and provided a lot of motion control. I wanted to transition to neutral shoes. At first I thought it was a mistake because my feet, ankle, legs and lower back hurt with the new DYAD 10 neutral shoes. I just needed to break them in and strengthen my foot and leg muscles for non- stability shoes. I rate them a 7.5 out of 10. The old stability DYAD 7 were a solid 8/10. If you have big wide and flat feet like I do, and are a supinator (feet point out/ wear on the outside when running) and are around 210-215lbs I would recommend this. I run about 30 miles a month, sometimes more.What I dislike: Not as cushioned or stable as my old DYAD 7 Brooks shoes. These shoes are also not gonna win any fashion awards but they do look way better than the old man looking DYAD 7. Also these are a bit heavy, but that's to be expected for shoes that are size 12 XW. Also, these shoes are a little softer on the bottom of the whole foot. I can feel the floor a little more versus my old DYAD 7 which probably had some kind of plastic throughout the bottom and also had different parts with a harder foam and plastic (for stability I'm guessing).

I need an EEEE wide width, Brooks make that size and it fits me well. I also love the extra cushion and neutral gait design of the Dyad, so it’s a very good shoe for me. The Dyad 7 was the perfect shoe. Dyad 8 was horrible. I didn’t try the 9. Dyad 10 is almost as good as the 7. I wish I would have bought multiple pairs of the 7. Brooks only makes one color in extra wide, a dull gray. It looks like an old man’s walking shoe. I may put some colored laces in them just to perk up the look. They are so boring, they make me want to get the mail, watch the Weather Channel and take a nap. Wake me up in time for early bird dinner.Follow up 01/01/2020; I was wrong about Dyad 10 being almost as good as Dyad 7. For me, they are not. I need more cushioning than the way they broke in. Or, didn’t break in. I don’t understand how newer versions of the same model shoe can be so different.

I ordered the Brooks Dyad 10 for my wife as she has another pair that is nearly worn out. When the shoes arrived, I noticed that the box indicated they were men’s shoes, not women’s. The shoes are a bit long so I’d like to return them for the women’s size 9, but there is no indication in your description that tells me if the shoes are men’s or women’s (?). How to I get the proper shoe?

Excellent shoes (Brooks), but I could not get a correct fit via on line purchase. I had to return (Thank you Amazon) several pairs due to not being able to get a comfortable fit. I ended up at a local shoe store for a correct EE wide fit. It appears that my feet have gotten wider after wearing nothing but sandals down here in paradise for the last 20 years.By the way,.... The price on Amazon is the same ($120) as in the shoe store. The only difference is the sales tax in the store. Also the fit is different in the different models of Brooks shoes. Its not worth the aggravation of re boxing and sending ill fitting shoes back to Amazon if there is no motivating difference in price from purchasing and getting fitted in a brick/motor store.

FIT LIKE A GLOVE! THEY ARE XTRA WIDE (EEEE). I USE THEM FOR MY STAIR CLIMBING TRED MILL! WHAT A COMFORTABLE SHOE TO WALK IN!! SHARP LOOKING TOO! MY FOOT DR ORIGINALLY RECOMMENDED BROOKS TO ME . THEY ARE VERY STIFF ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF SHOE SO THEY DON'T BEND! ONLY UP BY TOES LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO! I DID NOT RATE ARCH SUPPORT AS I WEAR GOODFEET SUPPORTS IN MY SHOES! I DID TRY THEM ON BEFORE I REMOVED THE CUSHION AND IT WAS LIKE WALKING ON JEL PADS! HATED TO REMOVE THEM.I WILL ALWAYS BUY BROOKS! BEST FOR YOUR FEET!

Brooks Dyad è il mio modello di scarpa preferito. Purtroppo dal punto di vista tecnico dopo il picco raggiunto con le 8 sono andate un po' in calare le caratteristiche a cui ero affezionato, ovvero la clamorosa ammortizzazione (che per alcune persone risultava anche eccessiva, ma non per me che ci ho tamponato una brutta fascite plantare).La sensazione è che con i modelli 9, e ancor più queste 10, si sia andati verso un prodotto più vestibile e meno da running, il che per me va pure bene in quanto le uso per camminare tutti i giorni anche a lavoro, ma non mi sento di consigliarle per scopi prettamente sportivi visto che probabilmente ci sono modelli più tecnici anche nella stessa Brooks (tipo Ghost)

Scarpe comodissime e leggere, talmente comode che le uso tutto il giorno, sia per fare qualche corsetta (non sono un pro) che per lavoro e tempo libero. Dopo 2 anni di onorato servizio, anche se con qualche segno evidente di usura, hanno mantento il loro comfort. Adesso è il momento delle dyad 11.

Ich habe dieses Modell gekauft um es für Städtetrips zu verwenden. Wenn man lange unterwegs ist, braucht man Schuhe mit guter Dämpfung - zumindest geht mir das so. Für diesen Zweck sind diese Schuhe hervorragend geeignet. Die Qualität ist auch in Ordnung - da habe ich für größeres Geld schon schlechteres gesehen.

ME QUEDA UN POCO MÁS JUSTA, PERO ESO LE PASARÁ A TODO EL MUNDO. TODAVÍA NO SALÍ A CORRER PERO LAS SENSACIONES HAN SIDO BUENAS.

Der Schuh ist prima. Leider eine halbe Nummer größer als bestellt. Mit dickeren Strümpfen geht es, aber letztlich nicht das, was ich bestellt hatte: Schuh gut, Lieferant nicht.
