I can thoroughly recommend Moving Planets Around. It is a fascinating combination of computing and Physics. In parts the maths does get quite involved, but it is worth working through it.Source code for the book is available on Github. It has given me excuse to look at Python, ctypes, numpy, matplotlib, CUDA, OpenCL and OpenMP. I did find some issues within the code, but tracking them down and fixing them was part of the fun. I have forked the repository on Github, so the changes I’ve made can be found there.
