So much fun!
I’m on a mission to make our homeschool leaning more fun, positive, and engaging. I came across this game for my daughter who has some learning disabilities. We played it for the first time today and I saw her do math, in her head, without crying or getting frustrated. The fun of the game took away the stress math usually causes her. I can’t wait to see what other games Logic Roots has!

Great for kids learning regrouping; very cute
This is a pretty simple game, everyone starts at 150 and you roll a many-sided die and add until you get the treasure at the top. Likes: 1. Kept my son's interest long enough to play the game and then do the reverse with subtraction. 2. Laminated cards help you work out more difficult problems. 3. Seems overall well made. 4. Cute. 5. Numbers not in order (would be too easy not to do the math if they were), but somewhat closely scrambled (so not too hard to find). 6. Can bring the treasure back down with subtraction (we make the storyline so we each get gold to bring back down to put boats. We make monsters helpful on the way down (they throw you into the water and you swim back with your gold)Dislikes: really just the dry erase markers weren't that good. Used my own and it worked great. Not worth subtracting a whole star for that for me.I am not sure if a kid who is already very confident at regrouping would find this as fun. It's a good way to get confident with parents' help.Cuteness: 8/10 (not as cute as Pet Me which is the cutest LogicRoots game ever)

Math game
My 8 year old needs some practice with math so thought this would be a fun way to do it. She does like it. It’s nice that you can actually play 3 different games with it and she can even play alone. She did need to get some paper and pencil to do some of the bigger addition problems. You could probably continue with the addition even after you finish the game to get higher numbers than on the board.

Very strong chemical smell
The bottom of the board is covered in a red material that is probably vinyl. As soon as we opened the box we were hit with this odor. The erasing cloth is also very smelly. I played this twice with my almost seven year old son and we finished each game in less than ten minutes. The cards that are provided for writing out the addition problem us useful. The producers of this game try to make it more interesting with a backstory but it doesn't need to be understood to play the game. Each person starts at a space marked with 150. Each person rolls the dice and adds the number to 150. After finding the sum of those two numbers you move to the square with this number. This continues until you reach the top number which is 149. There are a few spots that have monsters on them. If you land on one of these you go back to the beginning. There are also squares with vines that allow you to climb up to a higher number.I feel neutral about this product. It provides more interesting practice than worksheets but is not as much fun as Sum Swamp, and I thought that was a simple game. If a friend asked me about this game I would say draw your own version and find a dice with 20 sides. I would like to see more squares; maybe 400 or 500.

Wonderful addition practice
Impressive game. My son is turning 7 in a few months and is not yet completely comfortable with additions and this game is a wonderful practice. I was afraid it would be a little bit daunting for my son but it seems much more engaging and motivating for children than I expected. Plus there is a great variant with subtraction, so we will be playing this game for a while I think :).I'm so happy we have found this game !

Like Candyland for math skills practice!
The 2nd graders in my class had an easy enough time playing this game. It allowed them to practice addition through game-play. This game can be played with 2-4 players. The students had fun playing the game; although, this is not one of their favorite math games. However, the skills addressed were done so beautifully. Basically, this game is like Candyland with addition. The students all start at 150. They take turns rolling the die and adding the number on the die with their current position. For instance, if they rolled 15, they would add 15 to 150. This would give them their new total, 165. They would then find their new number on the game board and move to that space. The winner is the one who reaches the top of the mountain first. The game includes 4 dry erase boards where students can add their numbers and 4 dry erase markers. Everything in the game looks professional and uses bright full-color graphics which are appealing to children. My only complaint with this game is that it is targeted to 2nd grade. The tip of dry erase markers can easily be pushed down. Second graders typically press really hard when they write. Therefore, all four of the markers included now have tips which are barely visible. In addition, I found the game board had to fold. It is really hard to figure out which way to fold the game board. I often fold it wrong and then have to refold it one or two more times to get it folded in a way which will fit in the box. This isn't a big problem, but it is inconvenient when you are trying to clean up and manage a classroom. Every second of my time counts, particularly when we are transitioning between activities. My complaints really are minor; thus, I gave this game a 4-star rating. It's a great game and I really don't feel these minor complaints are a reason not to get the game. Although, I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, I take my job as a product tester very seriously. While my obligation to the company is to write a review (good or bad), my obligation to the public is to talk about my honest experience (good, bad, or ugly). I did NOT receive monetary compensation for this review. These opinions are my own, based on my personal experience with the product.

Mountain Raiders from Amazon
Mountain Raiders Math Addition Learning Board purchased from Amazon. I gave this as a Christmas gift to a child. I received a phone call saying that the family played the game and enjoyed it. I think anything it takes to make learning fun is a good investment.

Excellent game
I bought it for my nephew aged 7 years, he really loved it. The game is good to practice 3 digit number addition practice. Value for money and must buy for kids of 5-10 year range.

It’s ok
A good game. Kids can tell it’s math though so it’s not the first game to be picked. They will play if prompted

From mountain raiders to fountain (lively/ enthusiastic) adders
Definitely a good product . On the positive side helps children improve addition skills. Though the product is designed only for addition After reaching the mountain top I asked the children to alight from the mountain by subtraction . So it can be used both ways upward for addition and downward for subtraction. On the negative side sometimes the game gets over with 5-6 moves ie within 10 minutes, so also the sticking on the mountain board is not sturdy. So within a couple of days the sticking has worn out . They should probably give instruction of how to fold the board after playing the game. On the whole a good buy. Somewhere mid April the offer price was 399/. Missed buying it then.
