This version works on Windows 10
I have a 64-bit Version of Windows 10 and my understanding is that this is the earliest version of SPSS that will run on Windows 10. It works! I tried v21 or v22 and could not get it to work on my machine (Windows Surface Pro 3). I mostly run MS-Office and web-based applications so CPU power is not really needed. I was afraid that SPSS would be a resource hog and completely bog down my machine. It does not. I'm happy with this version that works on Windows 10 but ticked because the only reason I had to buy this version was because I am now running Windows 10.

Product is excellent for basic statistics
Product is excellent for basic statistics. But make sure you get either the Standard or the Premium versions if you think you need any of the add-ons. The Base version has only the basic features.

An unfortunate requirement
This was required for a course I am taking in advanced statistics. There is no way around purchasng it and the license expires exactly one year after purchase. I had an earlier version (21.0) and wanted to extend it for 6 weeks to finish a course but was only able to get a license for a year so tha is why I bought this. IBM is not helpful in the area of customer service for single individuals. If this is an industry standard, then industry should require IBM to be customer friendly.

A long slow descent into madness
Nothing in this world will plague your life like SPSS. I have been using it since 1999 (17 years as of this writing) and there have been few useful improvements in all that time. In short everything is a struggle to bend yourself into a box that will allow SPSS to work for you. Graphing is not intuitive and rarely results in what you had in mind. Structuring and restructuring of the data to suit your analysis is required constantly (long form, short form, wide form). Help manuals are filled with jargon that is designed to drive you to madness. The results of analyses are not easy to decipher even when you know what you are looking for. If you don't know what you are looking for the "help" is no help at all. Inputting data for other places (excel, .csv files ect.) has always caused variables to be interpreted randomly as strings (numbers as text). Copying and pasting changes to these variables doesn't work properly. In version 22 for the mac the drop down menus are curtailed unless you click on your output window before clicking "analyze"... why? Today I got an update to the version 23 through work hoping this bug would be fixed. Nope. If you are just learning stats buy Graphpad Prism. If you are need more advanced features just start learning "R" instead.
