I run a professional broadcasting production company since 1998.Bought this unit in April 2022. worked great out of the box, then has never ever once been reliable. Initial testing went fine, then when put into service it:failed to transmit,failed to accept any video sourceor failed to give a good signal.Sometimes it refused to accept a 1080 video from HDMI or SDI, so we changed our camera output to 720 and it was ok for awhile, then sporadic connections.Our setup was always a line of sight direct line outdoors, this was feeding the outfield camera (showing the batter and catcher) at baseball game productions. Never more than 380' of distance. even when we ran a long video line to bring the receiver within 200' it failed over and over. We either had a very low frame rate, frozen video, or no video.If you buy this, you are wasting your money because it will fail you.

This was genuinely the only product I could find that met the needs I required, without having to take out a small loan and go down the Teradek route. I needed something that had an SDI loop, could stream to Phones and Tablets, be powered externally via USB or Sony FP, be fairly quiet, have solid range, be somewhat mountable, and lastly not look like some goofy plastic toy. This fit the bill, unfortunately out of the box I was unable to get the RSTP mode to work and stream to devices, after contacting the manufacturer, they said they wouldn't be able to provide me the latest firmware as Amazon wasn't an approved reseller, and that I would need to contact the original seller. Thankfully the original seller replied promptly, and the manufacturer after me kicking up a fuss also sent me the firmware. This is something to consider as you can't rely on any reseller for technical support, what if they close shop?With the lower price I did expect some quirks, and it's not as if even large companies like Sony have their own issues, but things like this are worth keeping in mind when you buy gear to use professionally.Beyond that, so far I've had little to no issues, the signal for the most part has been rock solid, the app has a couple of quirks, but it does the job. I just wish there was some way to use the receiver hooked up to a monitor or Television AND stream to devices simultaneously, unfortunately it's just one or the other. One work around is to just get a cheap phone or tablet and buy a HDMI adapter. But considering you can't do both at the same time it would have been nice to have the option to JUST buy the transmitter and save the customer literally half the price. Same time it's good to have the option, you never know when your Producer's phone will die or fall down the toilet lol

This system(I got it on sale for a little bit off) was a perfect choice for my needs. I use this system for a follow focus system for my AC's and the only issues I have run into is if the wifi options are on it is has a noticeable delay. If I am just using this system as a one to one it is pretty fast. Fast enough to pull focus on none action films based stuff. I power the transmitter and receiver from D-tap plugs so battery life isn't something I have any issues with. Quality of the build and steam is great.Only real "problem" I have had is signal strength at a distance. Sometimes the signal will drop or skip if I am a good distance from the receiver. It also loses signal sometimes but not having this for a long period I can't tell for sure if this is a user error in setting up or the system. There are so many factors that go into wireless video transmission that it could just be the channel I was on. The connection after powering is quite slow too but that can be mitigated on when I replace batteries.Other than these minor things that a firmware update could probably fix, this system is amazing. A great buy from my experience.
