Tech Armor Ballistic Glass Screen Protector Designed for Apple iPad Mini 1, 2, 3 [ 1 Pack ]

I had researched for a while (which I tend to do) before doing anything and chose this particular brand and type of screen protector. The glass on this screen protector is so nice that when I compare it to an OEM it actually feels a little smoother. I have found that there is not any noticeable loss of image quality not any distortion of content.My biggest fear with this installation and messing it, but after installing the same product on my iPhone I had some fairly good confidence. From that installation I kept these key points in mind:1. make sure your hands are washed well2. make sure you are in as much a dust free environment as you can be (CLEAN THE WORK TOP AREA AS WELL)3. make sure the tablet surface is clean, clean, clean4. put the supplied suction cups in position5. move slowly and do not breathe in the direction of the tablet and the protector6. guide the protector down first on one of the long sides of the tablet and force out any bubbles after it settles (remove the suction cups first) from the center of the protector to the edges (see the video on the vendor’s site)7. when applying the button, attach a piece of the 'Dust Removal Tape' across the top half. Use the tape to guide it into the button hole and keep it squared off and level. This was the only time I needed to use the 'Dust Removal Tape' in the entire process for my installation.That was about it. In just around ten minutes or so, I had the screen protector installed on the iPad mini without any issues whatsoever during the installation. Having learned from the iPhone and using the ‘Dust Removal Tape’ even the button was applied nicely. The only note I would make here is that I found the suction cups created two little air bubbles and I think that if I could get away without using them or at least one of them, the bubbles would not have formed.I am extremely pleased with the installation and the functionality of this product as it fits well and the rounded off edges make it feel as if it was always part of the iPad. As I stated in my other review, I do not expect any screen protector to protect my devices from acts of stupidity, like dropping a hammer on it or throwing it face first on the road, but I do expect this protector will keep the original screen free from scratches and damage from day to day use. It may also offer additional protection from some incidental life experience which would be a nice plus.Next up is my iPad Air 2.

I original purchased this screen protector in 2014 for my iPad Mini 2. I don't remember having any issues installing it at that time and had nearly forgotten it was there. Screen very clear, touch responsive. I will say I also have it in an Otterbox. It took the usual (low) drops and bumps, never any problems until recently when it was sitting on a stool. In the Otterbox it sits propped open on the cover flap. Bumped into the stool, it started to flip off, grabbed the flap which kept it from falling (which in hindsight would have been better) but the tablet flipped back over the edge and the back side banged into the stool leg, bouncing a couple of times. This resulted in a crack right down the middle of the screen. Having just replaced the screen on a Kindle I didn't want to go there with my iPad! But on closer examination I could see the crack only extended about 3/4 of the way down and the touch screen worked just fine. I contacted Tech Armor support for help in removing the protector (carefully pull up a corner and it removes easily - do put tape over the fracture to prevent little shards from scattering) which confirmed my hope that the tablet itself was undamaged! They were very helpful and shipped me a replacement, still under warranty after six years. The only difficulty I had with the new one was getting it exactly over the raised home button I had added (pretty sure that came with the original protector) and the suction cup bubbles mentioned elsewhere, but I put them close to the edge so not too bad to deal with. Overall, great product and customer service to match!

I have to say that this product is FAR easier than other screen "protectives" out there. There IS NO mess, no annoying spray to lubricate (that is the worst part for me). I had to order again because of an error on my part and NOT the item itself. This product is NOT a remove and attach again. It is meant as a one time attachment/protective and if you are removing it it is to discard!! Follow the instructions very well for the dust can be a real pesky thing BUT this product comes with everything you need. Great cleaning cloth, suctions cups (which are brilliant and very necessary for perfect installation, dust removal tape, adhesive buttons and a card (to squeeze out air bubbles). Bear in mind that the air bubbles can be challenging but not impossible. Just be patient and take your time and use card with cloth to move air out through the corners and edges. It may seem like the bubbles won't go away (and I only had 1 air bubble to deal with) but it DEFINITELY does. The end result will be SO SO worth it!! Also,when I threw out the old one because of my error, I said to myself...ballistic and not easily scratched well we shall see...sure enough folks I got my box cutter (yeah the big guns) and starting scratching. There was NO mark AT ALL. This stuff is just amazing!!! This product IS THE REAL DEAL and I do NOT joke around when it comes to backing an product. I am SO impressed with it that I HIGHLY recommend this product. It fit my iPad mini 3 to a T. The only thing though are fingerprints but to me that is inevitable and unavoidable. In the grand scheme of things, I prefer solid, strong protection against my screen anyday over grabbing a cloth to clean off my fingerprints. I really can't say enough for this Tech Armor...it is really what every tablet needs but especially for those who have spent an arm and leg on a device that one may or may not resell but it is keeps your device free from probably one of the biggest concerns a user has.....screen protection/screen damage...

Pretty impressed with this product and packaging. The glass itself is great, a perfect fit and super clear. Installation was very easy, but then again I have done a lot of these and use my own materials.The only downside was the included screen wipe, it wasn't the best - I tried it to get rid of some residue on the screen and ended up using my own cleaner..I highly recommend this product!

Excellent product...superior quality... Very good package... Perfect fit...crystal clear...oleophobic coating is the only thing which can be a little better... Otherwise much much better than tempered glasses available in local shops...just go for it

Excellent product, it even comes with suction cups to help align the glass. I had film on my iPad mini but it developed dark shades on the screen after 2 years. I think glass is the way to go. Installation was easy and fit was excellent.

It's an excellent screen guard. It's easy to install and it looks sturdy. I truely love this brand products for their quality.
