Rhinoshield Playproof Case for iPhone 6/6S, Dark Blue

After 8 months my Dark Blue RhinoShield has held up like no other case. This is absolutely the best case among the Otterbox, Thule, and Speck cases I have used.Finish: The Dark Blue color is subtle, and appears very similar to the Apple brand case with a very discreet RhinoShield logo on the right side. I had read complaints in other reviews was that the finish is too slippery. I have not dropped the phone due to the finish, and it has been extremely durable for me. There are no visible scratches on the back, and only some minor scratches in the matte finish on the sides from rubbing against loose change and keys. The case looks nearly as good as it did when it was new.Fit: The sides of the case hold very tightly to the phone. I am picky about cases, and the most irritating flaw in a case is when it stretches over time. On almost all my previous cases, the rubber around the buttons stretched outward, or the phone felt loose in the case. This has not happened on the RhinoShield.Protection: I dropped my phone from a height around 3-4 feet onto carpeted concrete, and my phone was undamaged. The only visible damage on the case is a small dent on the corner that hit the ground.

Shockingly slim, but based on reviews I've seen and read (mobilereviews-eh.ca), this is just about the most protective case out there as far as drops are concerned. I had a UAG previously that I really liked. This is slimmer, smoother and more compact. The PlayProof has a bit more texture than a Speck candy shell and does not slide or spin like Speck. It is also slimmer than the Speck (my wife has that case). The edges around the screen keep the screen off of surfaces. I don't have a screen protector (yet) but it looks like there is plenty of space for most screen protectors. I can see the curve of the screen prior to the beginning of the case edge, so possibly even the curved protectors may work (but no guarantee from me).

very happy with this. thinner than similar incipio...a few unplanned drops of 3-4 feet caused no issue. i feel like this will protect as advertised. purchased several cases including otter symmetry, incipio dualpro, and anker glaze. Keeping the rhinoshield and otter. rhinoshield far and away the least thinnest with a pleasing texture. it isn't a rubber grip and may not hold on an angled surface or dashboard, but not a need of mine. the fit on my 6s is nice and snug but not a problem to put on or remove. no issues seen in 3+ weeks of daily use. can use charging plug and earphone jack as nature and tim cook intended, volume and power buttons easy to use. as many have noted the mute button is a little hard to get to, but not an issue for my fingers and closely shorn nails - - and no more challenging than any of the cases i purchased.

I really like this case. It is much better than the bumper version by Rhinoshield in my opinion. Only get the bumper one if you really want the back of your phone showing. This one actually seems to be more low profile. It is not super grippy, but grippy enough for me, and very good protection. I have heard it compared to the leather case, but I believe the leather case is a bit grippier (while not grippy enough to stick in your pocket). I would buy this product again for value based on price. I loved my leather case but it cost twice as much.

So far I like this case. It fits my iPhone 6S well and doesn't add a lot of bulk. I did deduct one star since it's a just a wee bit slick.I haven't dropped it (and hope I don't!) so I can't speak to how well it protects the phone from drops. I did see some reviews that indicated it protects well from drops.

So far so good. I REALLY like this case. Went with dark blue to spice it up a bit (I've owned several black cases in the past). The color is nice and dark. I was concerned that it would be bright blue based on some pictures. Regarding grip, I think it is just right. This case slides in and out of pockets really well, and after a few days of use it does NOT feel like it is going to fly out of my hand like some have said. I assumed I would upgrade to the leather textured bodysuit for Christmas, but after owning the Playproof for a week I don't see the need. I do have to use the tip of my finger for the silent ring switch, but that hasn't been a problem. It would be a big problem if you like using the switch to silence your phone without taking it out of your pocket. Super large audio cables won't fit the headphone jack, but there is plenty of space for 90% of the 3.5mm connectors out there (stock earbuds fit great). I'm a regular customer, who sadly did not receive any discount for this review. Just that satisfied!
