A stereo audio mix taken from the EYES WIDE OPEN DVD shot for the 2003 Japanese tour, this is the first time that ELEKTRIK has been available to retail outside of Japan. Another must-have for Crimson fans.

You too could sing the body EleKtriK
EleKtriK is the documentation of King Crimson Live in Japan (2003). This iteration of KC is Adrian Belew (vocals and get.), Robert Fripp (gtr.), Trey Gunn (Warr gtr., restless Warren gtr.), and Pat Mastelotto (traps and buttons). The recording venue is Tokyo's Kouseinenkin Kaiken (April 16, 2003).This is part of Fripp's on-going determination to not only capturing live performances, but to issue many of them as live recordings. These concert recordings may contain new material without studio reference releases. This practice documents new music and protects it without the need to "hone" a work in the studio, nor publish a reference recording for copyright protection. In this process, old music, such as Lark's Tongue in Aspic (IV) becomes new, while new music becomes standards, and arrangements become fluid and flexible. Is this prog-rock jazz?Who needs EleKtriK? The Krimhead must possess it to survive. The serious fan of prog-rock. The fanboy of Crimson, Fripp, or Belew Technically clean recordings a decades long performed by unit at a he heights of their powers who hold little scared and expect the unknown to be given me he same respect and awe as the "classics". There is little else like King Crimson at any point in the recent past, the present, and the near-term future.Want your musical performers to challenge you as they perform challenging music? Want to share the creative process with artists who respect their audiences? Want music that can come from any culture or influence all at the same time? Like to dance with cosmic abandon while the music of the spheres plays on?If you answer yes to any of these questions and many others, then you should seriously consider why you do not already possess this recorded performance. The cost is reasonable. The ability to continue engaging with these musicians, from this moment, over a time-span of decades should sound appealing. Join the fun.

KC 2003 is greatly under-appreciated
The "Double Duo" incarnation doesn't seem to get a lot of love and attention from either fans or DGM, but it always seems to take decades for each version to get its due. I have seen Crimso in 1982, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2015, and the ProjeKct Two tour, and I have dozens of live KC discs, but to my surprise, the 2003 version stands out as my favorite show, and indeed one of the best concerts I've ever attended. This disc doesn't quite capture that -- I'm told the New Haven CD might -- but this is still a great performance. The quality of the band's digital effects is finally worthy of the music, the band is really tight, and this is an excellent recording. I am sad that they excluded the outstanding "PTB III/Deception of the Thrush" that's on the DVD (even if I have like seven versions of it already), and I personally don't need to ever hear "Prozakc Blues" or "Happy With What You Have" ever again, but Level Five and Electric smoke, and the Power Circle/Dangerous Curves/LTiA4 sequence is pure bliss."One Time" has some clams -- strange clicks in the intro (pedalboard footswitches?),

One Helluva Great Live Album!!!
My God this is incredible. I am an old-school Crimson fan. I saw the ‘74 band live. I really had ignored this “American” Crimson. I saw the beast in Chicago in September and, having heard some of this music played by the new lineup, decided to investigate. WOWZERS! This is one helluva live album!!!I have been listening to Elekrik for a week almost non-stop. It is barbaric, brutal, sharp as a scimitar and searingly beautiful. Perhaps the finest of all of the live Crimson releases. I sure wish I had gone to see this lineup when I had the opportunity and passedWhat puzzles me is why, in the diary notes, Robert seems so unhappy with this band, it was incredible!Just ordered HEAVY CONSTRUCTION and THE POWER TO BELIEVE

Another live masterpiece from the preeminent prog rock band King Crimson
King Crimson Elektrik Live In Japan was recorded on April 16th 2003 in Tokyo, Japan and is a tour de force. It's a must have for any KC fan. At a little over an hour and 15 minutes it's well worth the asking price of $10.59

Great listen
I am a huge fan of all versions of KC and since this is most likely one of the last live recordings we will be able to listen to, I'm glad it was a good one. The instrumentals are fun and flawless and Adrian's vocals are great on the vocal tracks. Highly recommended.

Fripp & Co.
Not a bad offering from Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew and Co. - I played the whole album on air for my 2arm.net.au radio show (Sunday AEST 7-10pm) and it went down a treat - will buy the Dvd one day - great performance!

Awesome.
Really good- I enjoyed the "Halloween" like soundscapes and make sure to play them at that time of year, this is so well recorded you think it's a studio cut till the audience roars with approval. Yes, I am a long time time fan- some folks wont get this music but those that do will love this recording,, very well done!

Temas a destacar: el siempre portentoso y al mismo tiempo aterrador Level Five, Elektrik y Happy with What you Have to Be Happy With. Muy recomendable si te gusta y conoces la trayectoria de King Crimson.

quite impressive sound!
I must say that I am over all very impress with the complete cd now prosack blues and happy with what you have are my favorite version of those songs so far it sound heavy and solid and at the same time easy to take just some solid rock I love all the instrumental on the album level five and electric are my favorite again the quality of sound is so eazy on the listener compare to other recording of Kc and I am a hard cor fan believe me! Power to believe circle is just fantastic and let's not forget One time here in this concert the ballad is soft but at the same time you have a sens that the song has power and a lot of juice I give this album a super big five a best for me in a long time , I do believe that since power to believe the band has taken a certain direction and with level five and electric, sorry for the spelling it seem that they are on the right track and I hope that KC will give us some new song in the same direction with Electric it gives me great hope for the future.

やはりキングクリムゾンは素晴らしい!来日公演ということですが、僕が聴いたのとは違う曲順だったので違う日だったのでしょう。ライブ版なのに大変録音は良く、演奏もライブとは思えない緻密さです。
