Printer Dust Cover Compatible with Epson SureColor P5000 / P5070 & Stylus Pro 4900 Plotter Large Format Printers [Antistatic, Water Resistant, Dust-Proof, Heavy Duty Fabric, Black]

I've had the TUMI cover for my previous Epson Stylus Pro printers (4000, 4800, 4900) and it seemed expensive for what it was (over $100, as I recall). This DigitalDeckCovers product is very similar in material and appearance. The material is slightly less stiff, which I prefer as it is my habit to merely pushback the cover if I am printing from the front media tray and not go to the trouble of completely removing said cover. The construction quality is high, the 4 corners are double stitched while the bottom is hemmed and single stitched. Very nice material, no complaints.I was concerned as to the fit, the DDC website lists the cover as having been sized originally for the SP 4900. No issues, it drapes evenly over the new P5000 printer and drops to just above the bottom of the printer on all 4 sides.I use the cover for both dust protection and to stabilize the humidity level of the printer under the cover - perhaps one reason why I have not had serious nozzle clogs in the past, or at least ones worse that didn't clear up after a nozzle clean or two.This cover is half the price I paid for the TUMI cover 10 years ago, and I am completely satisfied with it's quality and function.

I bought this cover for my Surecolor P5000 because it says "SIZED FOR YOUR EXACT PLOTTER MODEL. We double-check manufacturer dimensions, and this cover is made for only the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 & Surecolor P5000 Plotter - 24" large format printer/plotters. You don’t have to measure and guess the size to buy, or settle for a generic size cover. The cover you receive will match the size we promised: WxDxH = 34 x 30 x 16 inches." It turns out its way too big for my printer and looks goofy.....

As of this May 2012 writing, there appears to be no alternate cover for the Epson 4900 printer. This is a decently made product, with good materials and and a fair fit. The main area for improvement would have been a more customized fit to the printer package, but I feel this cover will reject most of the dust that otherwise fall onto, or inside of, the 4900. For purposes of comparison, this is a lower quality cover than we had previously from Tumi, but Tumi informs me that there are no plans to produce a cover for the Epson 4900.

Although this cover is relatively expensive for what it is, it's less expensive than the $125 Kathie Weston covers I saw first on the Luminous Landscape website. This cover is made from a nice quality material and has a slightly loose fit on the Epson 4900. The loose fit makes it easy to install and remove, so I'm not complaining. I wish this cover came in gray since black really shows dust.

fits my printer like a glove. though a bit pricy for what it does, it will outlast the printer. Highly recommend one though in that we found that the nozzles in the printer dry out if uncovered, so this will save you a ton on ink costs, especially when ink cost over $1,000 for this machine to replace all of them

I chose a dust cover to ensure that dust does not settle on the printer when not in use. Yes the cover fits fine and is made of a thick material but I must admit that the cover has a peculiar smell - it eventually goes away after a few weeks. It could do with a small loop so that it could be hung up when not in use.
