We're camping more now that the youngest is out of diapers, and needed a lightweight down for FL nights during season. I looked into a whole bunch of options and settled on this because the slightly larger size than comps and the outer fabric.I was particular about the outer fabric. Didn't want that super slick stuff that can get sticky, nor that peach suede-like fabric that can get kind of hot. So then there's a cottony type fabric for indoor down that I love but that won't work for camping unless you put it in a WP duvet cover.So this outer is like a matte version of the slick ones that slide all over, giving it a relatively close likeness to the indoor cotton mentioned above, but without the thread/weave. It's sort of like the texture of like a balloon without the stretch.Fluffs up nice, not puffy, yet it's warm enough. I ordered the Orion fleece to go under. I'm going to watch to see if they go on sale and will order 2 more for future trips.

Not sure how water resistant it is, Ive just been using it as a travel blanket while deployed. Initially I wasnt super impressed, but as it has fluffed out, it has turned into quite the warm blanket, I actually had to turn the heating way down in my room, which is awesome. It looks great and it packs small, really have no complaints about it.

I own at least 6 and through my recommendation, perhaps my friends own another 16.
