Just received today - too soon for 'detailed eval' - but initially, Surpasses my expectations.
The accompanying CD (not dvd) shows how to assemble & balance, but I haven't been successful after an hour & a half.Unfortunately, this video has no 'descriptive audio', only "mundane music" (kill the audio, useless). I wish more time was devoted (visually and aurally) with tips on how to perfectly balance the camera/Steadycam. Video ends showing it's possible, but no helpbeyond the 'brief video tutorial' in showing you how. Good Luck! VERY PLEASED with Quality & features at this unbelievable price ($130). Lightweight aluminum material, professional look, easily adjustable 'camera mount' and 'stem length'. Quick Release camera mount. I was considering the "FlyCam" until I cam across this beauty on Amazon. Purchased immediately. HIGH RECOMMEND!

Decent
It’s a decent glidecam just not for me … great price I’d recommend for anyone just starting out… there is a learning curve so don’t get discouraged right away… good built quality it does seam like actual carbon fiber so that’s a plus… I’m just more of a fan of gimbals.

Awesome stabilizer for the price...very satisfied now!
My initial tests with this stabilizer were very disappointing. But frequent visits to youtube and watching all the videos (search for S-60 camera stabilizer), I finally was able to configure and make enough adjustments with the weights so that my setup is now able to produce nicer, stable videos. So YES! this product is working great for me- thumbs up. Note that the HX20V is a very light camera, so you will have to add quite a lot of weight on top and none at the bottom to get this rig to balance. I know that with more practice, my steadicam videos with this stabilizer will become even better.

High quality stabilizer.
This is a great stabilizer. It does have a heavy learning curve so make sure you take time to learn basic skills with it. Balancing will take some getting used to. And moving around with camera can take some getting used to. The build is exceptionally sturdy and high quality.

Chinese craftsmanship at it's worst.
Absolute trash product. Upon receiving my stabilizer, I noticed it's first flaw. The quick release plate could not properly attach to the stabilizer due to a design flaw in the positioning of the safety pin that's supposed to prevent your camera from sliding off. The pins position made it impossible to secure the quick release plate, so I had to remove it.Aside from that, once you have the quick release plate tightened onto the base, it can easily be pulled off with a light tug. Many people like to tilt their camera and stabilizer 90 degrees to check the balance. This is impossible to do with this model as your camera will easily fall off, as mine did. Luckily I was low to the ground and in a carpeted room when it happened so no damage was done to my camera or lens. There's also a DVD that comes with it that's supposed to show you how to properly balance the stabilizer, which is nice. The problem is, the stabilizer in the video is NOT THE SAME model as the one I recieved.Another problem is that the bottom half will simply fall off with zero force applied to it. Apparently the weights on the bottom are enough to make the bottom and top pieces completely separate. My camera had nearly hit the ground but luckily I have quick reflexes.I'm not sure if other reviewers have older models that work better (possibly the one in the did I received), but mine is an absolute piece of garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Feels great, but so difficult to use.
It's very difficult to balance and the videos/instructions are not helpful. I've been looking online, but information is scarce. I'm still going to keep trying as I need it to film an entire season with my students so I will update if things get better.

Glides very well and is very stable
The StudioFX camera stabilizer works very well with my Canon T3I along with a Rode Mic on top. I use this for How-To videos with a lot of movement and it works really, really well. It takes probably 10 hours to really get down and learn where your hands and fingers go to get the best picture. The gyro part does not stick at all and is really smooth, it turns and spins with ease. With a canon T3I I use only the two large weights and about 21" long. As long as you take your time on adjusting and making sure you use the 3 second fall rule you can get really good shots. I feel most people who complain about these is because they dont take the time to really calibrate it and make sure the weights and length are right.Overall this is a great product that works great for fast moving video shots. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great video stabilizer.
