Perfect size for Midsize SUV
Gifted this to my husband for father’s day and he couldn’t wait to install it. He said it was easy to install and very sturdy. He was very happy with how it looked but we haven’t tried putting stuff on top yet since it was just installed and our camping is on July. Will try and see how it holds up after we come back from camping.

perfect for my minivan
this item is well constructed but light enough to move with one person. I fit this on my dodge 2017 grand caravan and it was the perfect accessory for a family camping trip. On that trip I packed 3 queen size camping mattress futons, a full size camping mattress futon, sleeping bags, lifejackets, camp chairs all secured down with lashing straps and a cargo net. Everything was strapped securely and i didn't feel it one bit while driving. However there is noticeable but acceptable reduction in mpg. normal mpg is about 25 without a rack. with a rack loaded with camping supplies is about 20.5 mpg for the same vehicle. Using a thule force xt xl box i get about 24 mpg. but the thule could never hold as much equipment and is not nearly as convenient for loading rafts for a day of rafting. The four clamps used to secure the rack to the roof rack crossbars seemed sufficient and secure, but i went ahead strapped it down with four additional large cable ties to be extra sure. It didn't budge one bit either way but it gave me piece of mind since i was driving abit of distance with in on my roof. All in all i was very happy with this purchase and the versatility of having a roof rack.

Great reseller!! Easy to install, works but concerned about overall quality. ** UPDATED
**UPDATE FINAL***The reseller did an amazing job of honoring the warranty. Although the product had its issues, within one day of posting my review the reseller responded with a full refund. Products often have issues but it’s really great to work with a reseller that knows how to treat the customer. The experience was so good I changed my review rating to reflect my satisfaction with the outcome.***ORIGINAL POSTI used this item for a 2k mile road trip through the blue ridge mountains. The unit was easy to assemble and was fairly sturdy. The main issue I experienced when I returned from our trip was that when I was unloading our roof bags from the carrier, I noticed rust forming at every junction weld on the rack. The unit has only been installed for two weeks and we havent had any rain. This really makes me question the long term durability of this unit. Any metal properly powder coated and sealed shouldnt be experiencing rust this quickly. Makes me curious as to how it will hold up over the coming year, my initial thoughts arent positive as it will likely continue to rust and eventually the welds will lose their integrity as a result.*** April 14th 2021- this update was three weeks after installation. I have attached photos that show the amount of rust that’s coming out from the rack. It’s coming out from the first bar where the welds are of inferior quality. If you look at the paint pictures of my car you will see that there are rust stains all over the roof. I don’t recommend this product as it shouldnt be experiencing this much rust so shortly after installation. Frankly I will probably be pursuing getting a refund.

Great rack for the money
I just wanted to come back and update this review now that I've had it for 2 years. I didn't do anything special to it as others have said they did to theirs. The paint and overall finish of the metal has held up very well. I had no issues with it when I was in the midwest even during some harsh winters. The only time I had an issue with it was after I moved to Florida. It has started to rust after being here for a year but the rack itself isn't that bad. It's majority surface rust that cam be removed with a Scotch Brite pad and I'm planning on repainting it here soon. The worst areas for rust is in the mounting hardware itself. The bolts and nuts and wing nuts that hold it to your crossbars will absolutely need sunlight and penetrating lubricant to break them free without stripping the plastic wingnuts. I had to remove my crossbars to get my rack off today and it was a real pain. Especially more so now that I have to measure the overhang of my cross bars when I go to put my crossbars back on again to make sure they're even on all sides. But other than for that I have had absolutely 0 problems with my rack in the 2 years I've had it and it has become a permanent installation to my suv since i've had it. People know me when they see me just because of it. It's long enough and wide enough to accommodate a cargo box and have plenty of room on the other side of the rack for other various camping gear. This rack is the next best option I have compared to others on the market. The only downside is that it is not a direct mount to the roof and there's no options for it to be without rails and crossbars. That's also a downside to my suv in general also since there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket support for direct to roof mounting. So for those reasons, I selected this rack 2 years ago and have been happy with it since then.

84x50 for Subaru Outback
It’s a little big for our outback and it seems like it bent a bit, but it works! We’ve been using it for a big road trip. No weird whistling on the freeway or anything. Also, it’s a kind of cool drying rack for towels and swimsuits if you’re lake camping. We were also able to easily attach a rented kayak to it. Husband said it was a monster to put together though.
