Paint box with some color!
This is a pretty little tin, if you work with watercolor or gouache you’ve no doubt seen, or own dozens of these. The middle row doesn’t hold pans as easily as the Prima Marketing tins, so I took pliers and popped the brackets out.The brackets were placed too close together, had they pushed them all the way to the long edges, a middle row of half pans would have been possible. After that, I realized I couldn’t fit my planned whole pans into the round corners, so I just tossed the tray and placed my pans into the bottom of the pan.To make it more even, you could use a thin piece of sheet metal or plastic in the bottom this would help for magnets. I did it bother because the whole pans are pretty snug.I wanted a small tin of mostly full pans so I don’t fry my nicer watercolor brushes when I’m on the go, by using them in small half pans. It’s nothing special or ground breaking, the same as other watercolor boxes of this style. I liked that they offered some pretty colors on the outside for a reasonable price. This is my bang around travel palette. I’m glad I bought it.I’ll probably grab one in the other color design as well. It’s a good quality tin, especially for the price. The palette is a mess right now, but here are some photos. I took these in a room with a warm-light lamp on,so be advised that the color is off.

great beginners box
originally got the smallest box (12 half pans) in pink and upgrading to the next size up (12 full pans) in blue. I enjoyed the smaller box for portability but i didnt feel like i was saving any space when I always had to bring an extra palette with me to make up for the smallest box not having a lot of room for mixing, and i mostly upgraded for the larger wells.both boxes are relatively sturdy, the lid and the fold out mixing well both lay flat and even for easy mixing. the enamel paint is pretty prone to wear but its usually just around the edges so it doesnt have much of an effect. they do stain but theyre decently easy to clean or even paint over with more enamel paint (although i havent tried that myself)Plastic boxes might be better for some, im sure you can find more specialized metal boxes, but as a casual painter who doesnt want to spend hours agonizing over what box to get, this works fantastic as an all-rounder.

Awesome portable pallet!
I got this empty pallette to make a travel watercolor kit with paints from different manufacturers. The tin is sturdy and meant to hold 12 HALF pan, but I can fit 20 in it by not using a tray insert and putting the half pans directly into the bottom of the case. They stay in place with magnets or poster putty. And I love the color of the palette!
