Very gripping and instantly takes you in Bana Alabed’s Syria completely. I got this book as someone referred it for my kid but I was hooked the moment I tried the first page and heard the description from my kid who finished reading it in a week, coz it was difficult to put down the book

It is hard to write a literary appraisal of such an emotive issue as Syria is and the soul destroying years it's people have had to endure....so I won't....What the so called Civilised Countries put the tragic people through must be as awful in context with what my father suffered in Japanese Prisoner of War Camps in the 2nd World War when the "glorious " end to the European War and it's wild celebrations and the way soldiers from Far East war were slipped back into England not wanting to advertise their perilous state...So Bana your courage and fortitude in one so young and what you had to endure however much impact you actually put into the book I would give you 20 stars if I could even if you wrote only one page....The horrendous years as the "Brave Leaders " used Syria as their own playground while the World to their eternal shame just looked on....
