The first ever 5.11 roll top backpack, our Covert Boxpack is engineered for speed, agility, and dependability in any environment. A slide-adjusting sternum strap and reinforced padded shoulder straps ensure a stable and comfortable carry when you're on the move, and the roomy TacTec main compartment is designed to remain covert but allow fast access to your sidearm or backup. A water resistant finish keeps your gear dry in wet climates, dual side zip pockets are ideal for accessories or a hydration bottle, and internal elastic retention straps allow secure storage for additional magazines. The zippered bottom compartment can be used to store a ballistic panel for added protection.

Great Pack for the Office Commute or Travel
This boxpack is one of the more interesting backpacks I've owned and so far I am loving it! I use this for when I go into the office or travel for work, but obviously obey your weapons laws and TSA rules when traveling. Check out my full video review on my YouTube Channel OutdoorEnthusiast88!! I like how you can fill this backpack up with various bulky items, laptop, charging cables, iPad, etc and it still remains one shape where as other cheaper backpacks will feel like you're carrying a heavy ball on your back! This is a great pack for an overnight trip or just as your daily laptop pack for work. The back support is great with breathable mesh and soft padded shoulder straps. I wish the waist straps could be removed or tucked away as I tend to not ever use them so they just hang there. Plenty of storage and concealed pockets plus the whole pack is water resistant and will wick away rain drops with ease. Overall, this is a very well made backpack with a variety of cool features for a daily office laptop pack.

Great quality build here
Great quality build here. As usual 5.11 has a top quality product. There's a small admin area (room for a few pens and small items) in the top of the main compartment that I didn't expect, which was nice. But overall it is missing a usable admin area like you get with some of there other bags. But the look and style of this thing is amazing. Concealed carry pouch truly does not print. I would definitely recommend this bag.

First time I've heard of a "Boxpack", but I REALLY like it
This is the first more premium higher end bag that I've purchased and the quality definitely shows. Originally I was looking for an EDC bag that's smaller than my Bug Out bag which is a bit too big to carry around every day and this boxpack style is really handy. Adding and removing things inside of the bag is really convenient with the open top design and I've gotten a lot of comments about how it looks. It's difficult to describe size, even when you get the litres listed on the description. I just couldn't really gauge what I could fit in quite a practical way until I saw a review by Sootch00 on YouTube. His review gave me a rough idea on what it looked like and now that I actually have it, I can see there's quite a bit of space in a more compact form factory. On my heavier load I normally carry a bible, my 15.4 inch convertible laptop, my 10 inch tablet, a 1 inch binder, two thermoses (1 for water and 1 for coffee), Anker PowerCore charger, a bunch of pens and a couple small pocket knives. On my lighter loads I'll just rotate a few things out, but there's a decent amount of weight even with this stuff and the pack handles it very well. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and the fact that you can adjust the position of the chest strap is a really nice touch since a lot of different people have different body styles. When you cinch everything down tight it's very comfortable, even if you have to do a bit of running.I really don't like having the extra slack flapping around once you tighten down all of the straps so the retention bands are really nice as well. Although I would have preferred Velcro straps as those would be a lot easier to get right, and by that I mean you have to fold the loose strapping exactly right to get it under the bands securely otherwise they'll come loose over time, but not too big a deal. I also really like the little sleeve like spots that the zippers tuck into partially which gives the back a really clean look.Overall I really like this bag and recommend it for anyone who is into sort of the "semi-tactical, carry as much as you can with you everywhere" type bag. There's a lot of little pouches that you can squeeze tools, knives and flashlights into but there's also some really nice padded sections for the more delicate stuff like laptops and sunglasses.*UPDATE 5/24/2017*Just added the 5.11 SLICKSTICK® EYEWEAR CASE which is a pretty good addition. It's kind of big, but nice and convenient for easy access to sunglasses.

Great solid backpack
The only downside is that there is not enough space and it won't stand up on it's own. Other than that it looks stylish, it's comfortable, and provides good protection. I use it to ride my sport bike. It really helps that it can fasten on waist and chest as well.

I use it every day
I use this pack every day to haul my work laptop back and forth. I easily holds that with room to spare for EDC essentials. If I travel I can also fit my personal chromebook in there. I rarely use to roll up closureasthe zipper is more convenient but it is a nice option. The numerous external pockets hold a variety of items from my mouse and power cords to spare glasses and my contact lens basics. The only thing really missing is an external water bottle pocket but that is minor compared to the many positives of this bag. I also like to subtle design and lack of obvious 5.11 branding that would mark you as "packing." Very greyman.

Good bag but missing some features to make it a great business bag.
Overall a pretty good bad. I like the "dry bag" style closure, it allows unimpeded access to the main compartment. This features allows you to open the top of bag holding the handle and not worry about everything falling out. (A common problem waiting in the TSA line) The CCW pocket is nice for a small tablet and the two side pocket work well to organize power adapters and cables. Not really a great pocket anywhere for small items other than the "glasses" pocket on top. The compartment on the bottoms is big but the zipper does stick and I fear small items may work their way out of it. The main compartment has a slot for PC and is well lined and does not go all the way to bottom so an "air gap" provides pretty good protection from drops. It does have a waist belt but it is too thin to be of any value, it does have elastic keeps so at least the extra webbing can be tucked away. It may be picky but it doesn't have a "business card" holder, would be nice to have something to place extra cards or the countless ID cards that most people need to carry, or something to show who the bags owner is if dropped, stolen, misplaced.

Well designed pack worth the cost.
This is a well built piece of equipment. Not overly tactical looking. I use this pack to carry a large frame Glock in the quick access pocket with no imprinting on the outside. The bottom pouch is perfect for an IFAK pouch. The only thing I don't like is you have no place to strap a light jacket to. I can live with no outside straps. It could keep you from accessing your pistol in a hurry. The black and gray pack is less tactical looking if you truly want to go covert. Plenty of space for a laptop and water bottle.

impressive bag
very impressive bag - not sure the concealed carry issue is relevant in uk - but not to detract from first rate quality of product - 5.11 are a reliable company
