Bolts after being tightened very well, fell off as my husband used it on the lawn. Also the device would get stuck and stop spinning and he would have to turn it upside down and spin it 15-20 times in the opposite direction to make it spin again properly. But then after about 10 minutes, the side bolts fell off and the whole thing fell apart.

Had to file down ends of middle handle tube to fit together with other handle tubes. Had to provide some of my own washers for the handle bolts. Questionable design overall — but good thing this is a one time use per year sort of tool. Wouldn’t try to use this for more than a small, city yard.

Needs a crossbar handle to you can put more pressure on the ground. But other than that it’s good

After comparing reviews it looked like the more expensive aerator roller was the way to go. It was fairly easy to assemble with a 10mm socket wrench and another wrench to hold the nuts in place. It worked like a charm. We don’t have a huge yard, but I previously used aerator shoes and it used to take about 30-40 minutes. Not so with this gem — I was able to run back and forth and knock out the job in about 5-8 minutes!! The ground was moist though, so if your dirt is dryer/harder it could help to add some weight. Otherwise this was well worth the money spent.

Get it "pointless" a pun! Nevermind.I just don't know what use this is. It has no weight, so it's sort of useless in harder soil. It does okay in soft soil, but then why would you need it. I tried it after a rain storm and it made little 1/2' holes. So if you're looking to scuff up the thatch, or poke little holes in the dirt, then I would say this tool if for you. Every one else should probably pass. I'll likely use it one or two more times out of curiousity, but I'm pretty sure it has "donation" in it's future.

I love that IT will do what i NEED IT to do. And that it handles Simply.

this thing is a piece of ****. Its awfully made and rattles everywhere, nothing fits flush. Add in the fact that it literally does nothing to the top layer of the soil, this thing is utterly useless. I may leave it on the side of the road as it'll be better off sitting there doing nothing then what it was made for.
