Cork Stoppers, Size 4, XXX Quality, Karter Scientific 19A4 (Pack of 25)

So, these are corks. They are good quality, and can be used as stoppers for little glass jars or lab equipment. Make sure to note the size, and ensure they will fit your intended application.These size #5 corks are 13mm on the bottom, and 17mm on the top.Unfortunately, these corks are not large enough to put a stopper in the mouths of those persons who so desperately need it (like, for example, Bob Corker). Unless you stuffed a bunch of them in there all at once. But that would be...indelicate.Besides that, they're just fine.

It's kind of hard to complain about cheap corks because cork is a natural product, it's going to have pits, voids, and cracks. That's just how it goes. But there's usually an expectation that quality cork stoppers have the "faces" free of voids that could trap/capture liquids or solids. The product photos show some pretty decent examples with clean faces. But in the package I received, about 6 out of every 10 had some kind of defect on the faces.If you're using these for art supplies (glitter?) or something like that, it's probably no big deal. But if you're using these to stopper any kind of test tube or similar containing a chemical liquid, powder, or other material where you're measuring the quantities, you're going to be throwing out a lot of these because you can't have the stoppered material getting "into" the cork.

These corks were unusable. Unbearable perfume stench greeted me when I opened the shipping container. Left outside for weeks hoping it would subside, brought in today and it was still bad. I opened the bag and the corks were contaminated as well. I couldn't possibly use these for food containers. I've never encountered this before.

These are NOT size 7 stoppers. These stoppers, billed as size 7, are about half the size. A size 7 stopper has a top diam. of 37mm and a bottom diam. of 30mm (see image where a size 7 stopper is shown, complete with its marking as such). These are 20x15mm making them a size 2 stopper. Have returned mine for a full refund.

Put 1 in each end of CPAP tubing & agitate the soap & water. Makes CPAP cleaning a breeze ! No more mess !Not fancy, but works great.

I'm making vanilla extract to use and as gifts.The corks I received look nothing like the catalog pictures. Even the corks that did seal often barely did, with little margin up or down before hitting a hole or weak spot that would break the seal. I'm no cork expert but all 25 look like quality control rejects. I managed to find 11 that worked, only breaking one test tube in the process. I cannot imagine these are "XXX Quality"

Pros: There are 25 corks in the bag, they look to be the correct size, these are relatively inexpensive compared to buying corks from the hardware store.Cons: Several of the corks are heavily pitted and therefore not usable for our purposes, the packaging is questionable (that is, it does not look like it was shipped from a company but rather by someone with a box of sandwich baggies).

These corks are okay, but the sizes are questionable. I luckily didn't need exact sizes for my project and didn't need a tight seal, so I was able to cut some of them around the lower edges to fit. Strangely, some of them fit my bottles perfectly, while others (from the same bag) were much too large.I would say these are a good value unless you need to seal something well - particularly if it is a small opening you need to seal.

They state these are size 11 stoppers when they are likely a 5. The size dimensions are correct so I should have gone through all details in the description to confirm, too late.

Got a 25 pack and there were only 18 in the bag...
