Superior lid design versus Yeti
I absolutely LOVE this tumbler! I'm a chemical tanker driver (tractor-trailer) and consequently have to deal with tanker surge rocking my unit. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT especially to any fellow truck drivers. With the Engel lid, I don't need to worry about dumping coffee all over the cab like I would with a Yeti. The screw on lid not only has a gasket around the lid but also has a removable rubber seal on the flip top that seals it tight. With minimal patience, I haven't found any issue securing the lid. But I do turn it upside down after filling to ensure no leaks. To maximize heat retention for my morning 30 oz java, I first preheat the tumbler by filling it with hot tap water and letting it sit while brewing the pot. This method has kept the last drink as hot as the first about two hours later. The handful of times I've used the tumbler for cold drinks (ice water), it has performed very well. Probably because I have consumed the beverage in less than three hours. 😉Finally, as I'm a Florida resident, I also like the fact the company is headquartered in Jupiter, Florida (even though they are made in China, probably by the same facility that makes the Yeti). Funny thing was that my tumbler shipped from a Minnesota store and arrived at my Florida residence two days later. At half the price of a Yeti AND with a superior lid design, purchasing an Engel tumbler over a Yeti is truly a no-brainer (unless you really like paying a premium for an effective marketing campaign or if you are on Yeti's payroll).

Husband loves his coffee mug! will buy again if needed!
These cups were purchased for my husband. They do not leak, they do not break easy. I have dropped my cup and it still holds hot and cold for about 12 hours. the temperature shown in the picture is after opening and closing the lid multiple times during a 12 hour period. He added a handle to his and it works fine! It holds about 30 ounces of liquid and fits well in the cup holders in our jeep, truck and cars. If you find the led leaks, be sure you close the flip top all the way, and that they do "snap" into the closed position securely.

The lid design is great..
I have watched several reviews on YouTube matching the Engle to the Yeti. In each of theae test both of the tumblers held ice for the same length of time. I actually bought a Yeti first to use on my mower. I have several yards I mow each week. After an hour the Yeti was full of dirt and grass and I had to throw out ky drink. I began searching the internet for a sealable lid for the Yeti when I found the Engle. I had not heard of this brand before. I bought one from Amazon and the lid works as advertised. I filled it up with water and ice and shook it forcefully and it didn't leak. I have read reviews where some people complained about the lid being hard to screw on. The lid is threaded with a four lead screw. It has four short threads instaed on one long thread that would wrap around the lid. This is done so the lid will get tight faster. It only takes less than a 1/4 turn to tighten the lid. Four lead threads are sturdier and stronger too. With a single lead thread you would have to screw the lid several turns for it to tighten. It would also be easier to cross-thread. The lid design is great...it works. I haven't found anything else like this that will keep my drink clean. You can't go wrong with an Engel.

The lid is the best and worst thing about this tumbler.
The cup portion of the Engel tumbler is well made. However, the lid is what makes me give this item a 4 star rating. You need to make sure you tighten the lid down VERY tight (i mean so tight you need to stop and check the seal). Otherwise whatever liquid you place in the tumbler will slowly dribble out. I drink hot coffee practically through out my entire morning from moment i wake up - lunch time at work. It keeps hot beverages hot for 5hrs (especially when you prep the tumbler). Before I put hot contents in the tumbler I pour hot water into the tumbler for approx 5mins - then fill with coffee. The reason I went with the Engel tumbler is the lid snaps shut. I often drive on bumpy roads where my Yeti 20oz tumbler would splash a bit on the console of my truck. Also being able to close the lid is nice if I need to leave the Engel in my truck when I stop to fish.FYI: the Lid and overall dimensions of the upper portion of the tumbler do make it difficult to drink when driving without burning your mouth.Fits 2015 Toyota Tundra's cupholder

Perfection! You can't go wrong!
I bought this tumbler because my husband has used his (exact tumbler) for years, and he loves it. I've had a few other brand tumblers that weren't evenly insulated. The Engel Tumbler is everything you want for hot and cold beverages. I use this when I travel and go from hot tea to cold water. I'm so happy with this purchase that I want to buy another one for backup so in 5 years when I need a new one - I have it.

The lid is the greatest and worst part of this thing
It does what it says it will do, and much more affordable than Yeti. The reason I went with this tumbler over RTIC, or any generic on the shelf one, is the lid. The lid is the greatest and worst part of this thing. When the lid is properly fitted and closed, you can throw your drink in the air and not spill. (Done it). But, you have to carefully line it up and twist it shut or you'll have a nice dribble mark on your pants from the liquid coming through at the seal. Also, the lid can get pretty tight and hard to take off. I have noticed that these "problems" have seemed to lessen over time and through normal use.In regards to ice retention, here's today's use. Bought a fountain drink at 9 am. Finished drink in a normal amount of time and left the cup in my truck. Temp was about 70 degrees. At 2 pm this afternoon, still had ice in the cup. Works for me.
