Shaver as a whole works pretty good, longevity is still to be determined as I've only had this a few weeks. The feel of it is pretty solid. Its a minimalist design without a ton of extra stuff. Battery is much better than my ancient old dying shaver that this replaced. I like that you can toggle height with a scrolling mechanism on the unit. I always lose stuff so having it be just a few pieces is nice for me.My main gripe is detaching the attachments. If you look near the top of the unit above where the word Remington ends, there is a button there that will release the attachments. It is located right where it is covered by whatever attachment you are trying to release. So when you adjust the attachment all the way up on its way to the release point, the bottom of the attachment nearly covers the button. This drives me insane as I have to try and shove something in between the shaver and the attachment to be able to press hard enough to get the attachment to release. I don't have big fingers either. Then when you do finally get it to release, it also releases the main shaver and they both fall off.1st world problems... I know.Otherwise this unit is solid. Added bonus, the brush feels like heaven on my beard. I never knew these brushes worked so well for beards. I can't comment on the scissors, it went into a drawer in one of my bathrooms and that's likely where it'll stay... poor thing.Overall, love the brush and the shaver works great until you need to remove an attachment.EDIT: 12/30/17So I just shaved and ran to the computer to change my review. You do not need to push the button I was complaining about in order to remove attachments, they pull off without it. The button is for if you want to detach the main shaving mechanism only. I got confused because the attachments take a little wiggling and didn't want to break anything so I thought pushing the button was the way to go.Changed from 3 to 5 stars.

I'm getting older and as I get older, I've definitely noticed my neck and jawline start to drop and become much more turkey-like than I would like. Once you come to accept the depressing realization that you're developing a turkey neck, the next logical step is to plan how to hide it and the answer is usually a nice looking beard.I shopped around through the various options, but I've used Remington products before and I've always been pleased by their build quality compared to other shaving companies, so this was the best option for me. The three attachments are definitely helpful because it comes with an extra long attachment (which most don't) which allows you to trim a very long beard and still keep it looking well groomed and taken care of. The other attachments are the normal for less bushy beards and the stubble smaller attachment, for the trendy - I forgot to shave in a couple days - look that is in style.The best thing about this product is that it is so simple to use and all the guides and attachments snap right on easily, but also stay closely attached, so there is no looseness and all shaves and trims are very accurate to the settings that you choose to use. My first full trim took close to 10 minutes, but I was trying out different settings and I think it would normally be down to a few minutes once I've picked my preferred settings.The brush and scissors are nice little touches and both feel solid and are well made. I've never used a brush before, but it does give the beard and nice cleaner look and even keeps the hair softer and healthier. Even the charging cord is longer than most which is very helpful in my bathroom since the power plugs are a distance from the main mirror that I use to shave.All in all this is an extremely well made product and no matter what size beard you have, this shaver will do the job. Highly recommended!

This beard trimmer is great for long beards. Battery lasts forever and it has the longest guards I had found for beards. The only thing I don't care for is the precision trimmer is kind of in the way and pops out all the time. It's a nice idea but I'd prefer it just not to have it all together. The brush is junk and the scissors are poor quality but I bought this for the trimmer. Although it is high priced it is very well made and is easy to use. The wheel adjustment for the height of the guards is very easy to use, just don't forget if you change the guards to adjust the wheel in whatever direction you need.

Like with most things (that I am looking to purchase on the internet) I try to do some quick research and then buy what I need. Unfortunately that rarely happens anymore and I find myself going down the rabbit hole (of the internet) over and over.Reviews have become less reliable and people's expectations for inexpensive items have become unreasonably high. Which makes quick searches impossible.So if you were like me and are simply trying to determine if this Beard trimmer will work for you I can say that it defintely will, no matter the length.There is a wheel (on the trimmer itself) that moves 2 of the guards that come with it, while the 3rd is adjusted differently.#1 Does not move with that wheel. Instead this one is adjustable by a dial, on the guard itself, that can be used for 5 o'clock shadows to around a week's old growth (1/8" or so)#2 This works with the wheel and works for a week+ growth (1/8" to 3/4") Fully extended in Pic #1#3 Is for really long beards. (3/4" to 1 1/4") Fully Extended in Pic #2So unless your beard is over 1.25" this thing will work for you. It works well, has 9 length adjustments on the wheel (for each guard), has good battery life and is made solidly.The brush is fine and scissors work well enough, but I wouldn't let them influence your decision.Hopefully this will help to pull those of you going down that rabbit hole yourself.

Amazing product! The Remington MB4045B was my first venture into an higher end electric shaver and I am not disapointed! The shaver cuts very close to the skin to clean up my beard's edges and I am using at setting 5 to have a very nice and clean short-med lenght beard. I washed it a few times already and it cleans up real easy. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

This thing holds a charge! My last cordless trimmer would die after a few uses.

Everything about this is awesome but the charger broke and trying to replace it is next to impossible without buying an entirely new unit. We searched for months and ended up just buying a different charger.
