Great account of the historical start of the American amusement industry.
Being a fan of roller coasters and amusement parks, I found this to be a great quick read. I have been to Coney Island, ridden the Cyclone, ate a Nathan's hotdog and walked among the ghosts of the ancient carnival folk and sometimes yearn to have been there when it was in its heyday. But, at least when I read about, it becomes easy to imagine what it must have been like.

Do not waste your money or time!!
I was really disappointed with this and am glad that I did not pay much for it. It told a little bit about how Coney Island started but nothing about present day Coney Island. It was so short that it was over just as it got interesting.
