Used this drain tool once and it worked perfectly. It comes with a long hose which I cut much shorter so the oil drains into my pan without touching the pan. It was very easy to use.

This definitely works as advertised for my 2014 Toyota Sienna. It's pretty good, definitely makes it much easier to get the filter compartment drained before I take it off, but my hands aren't 100% clean after using it.I was under the impression that this gizmo was going to help me keep my hands totally/mostly clean during an oil change, but my hands still get surprisingly oily. It's ok, not a big deal, maybe I need to get better at using it. I gave it 5-stars because it's still not a problem with the product and this is still well made.One thing is for sure, this is VERY helpful for an oil change on a windy day. This does make sure that the oil doesn't drip down and get blown by the wind, it goes straight to the oil drain pan container (I have one of those with the enclosed container and pan).Pros:- well made- works as advertisedCons:- my hands still get oily- it takes some extra work to get the full line drained so that no oil stays in the clear tubing

Works great, 100 times better than the stupid pop in plastic crap Toyota gives you with the filter. I used an aftermarket filter one time and the plastic drain tool that came with it was threaded, no idea why Toyota didn’t make theirs like that. Anyway this is a pretty much no mess way to change the Toyota filters. Only thing I did was cut a good amount of hose off. It’s good they give you plenty of hose with this but unless you have a lift it’s probably too much. I change both of my vehicles oil with jacking the truck up and the hose just wanted to coil up and not drain into my oil pan. Cut the hose to a good length and it was perfect on the 2nd oil change. Would recommend!

Fast and easyNo oil dripping on your hands

I purchased this to assist in the changing of my oil in my 2021 Toyota Tacoma V6, It preforms very good in draining the leftover oil from the oil filter cartridge during routine oil changes. It is very simple to use, you simply remove oil filter canister cover and screw this fitting in to the bottom and twist the brass fitting to open the valve and the oil will drain down the tube into your awaiting container.I gave it 4 stars for value because it seems a little expensive for what it is, a brass fitting with a clear piece of tubing. The quality seems good however you will need to allow the tube to drain completely after you finish of store it in a bowl or canister to contain the residual oil that seeps out of the tube after you are finished. I would recommend this to anyone who changes their own oil in the2021 Toyota Tacoma.

The reason I used to loathe changing the oil cartridges in our Camry and RAV 4 was attempting to install the cheap plastic cartridge drain tool before removing the cartridge housing. It was a royal pain overcoming the strong spring in the cartridge housing. This drain tool easily screws into the threaded opening (I had no idea there were threads there) and wallah the oil drips easily and quickly through the plastic tube into the oil drain bucket. One more thing: after I got the drain tool I saw a video of someone using two thumbs on opposite sides of the cheap plastic cartridge drain tool (that comes with each cartridge) pushing it into place. You might try that method and see if it works if you don't feel like springing for the brass drain tool that does the job so well.

Very nice for the price. Threads in smoothly, and the twist valve does not leak. Empties canister completely in a controlled manner. Included hose is actually somewhat soft and oil resistant, Which is great. I shortened it just a little. Great tool. Purchased for 2018 Tacoma V6. Worked in 2013 RAV4 as well.

The threading on the screw-in portion was nicked in a few places, and the "silicone" hose is just clear plastic. Not very good for the price, but I will try to make it work. *UPDATE* worked well on the first use - the nicks in the threading had no effect on how it worked. The seal was good. Worth the price. Will see how long it holds up.

Appears to be well made. Fits great on the filter. Nice flexible tubing too.
