Great journal for “unschooling” students.
This is a spring board for “book” centric homeschooling. This is not a step by step curriculum for teaching your student. It is a journal for your students to fill after you’ve either taught them about the invention or they’ve read about the invention in other books/online research. I use it as a guide to have a “game plan” for what we should cover. There was a huge printing mistake on my first order. The book was bound backwards. I contacted the company and they had a new one printed (apparently amazon handles the printing and binding so I probably could have dealt with amazon instead of the author). But they sent me a new one.

Such a great way to research and learn! Truly FUN schooling!
The media could not be loaded. We just received this inventors and inventions book this week and I am so excited to use it with this coming homeschool year. It covers a wide variety of inventions from the lightbulb to the World Wide Web and everything in between. The child researches the invention and then draws pictures and answers questions as well as completes a variety of exercises as they go. This is such a fun way to learn. It teaches the child how to be independent and research to find answers. I got it for my 10 yr old daughter and I think it will be perfect.

Great way to make history FUN!
We absolutely LOVE the Fun Schooling journals from The Thinking Tree! My son is interested in robotics, Minecraft, inventing things, and Legos. This journal is perfect for him to learn about different inventions and inventors. All I need to do is find interesting books, videos, and educational websites to this. The journal gives him the ability to research and record what he is learning, so a lot of the pages repeat and that's ok! The video in another review is fantastic! Find what your child is passionate about and SET THEM FREE! They will learn all that they need to if they are actually interested in it! This is a great addition to our homeschool!

My son is 8 and enjoyed looking things up.
We liked it to encourage writing for my 8 yr old boy.

Nicely set up
I really liked how this was set up but my daughter (10) found the inventions too dated for her to be interested.
