Norpro Tin Madeleine Sheet

I ordered two madeleine pans, one Norpro Tin and one Browne Food Service, from the same seller--they had different prices and the description of the Browne as "heavy tinned steel" made it sound as if the reason it was more expensive was that it was heavier. I ordered both because I wanted to see if one was better than the other (and everyone says you should have two pans, since most recipes make 24 and the batter doesn't hold well). Although one pan was partially wrapped in cellophane, they were otherwise identical--both French, exactly the same shape, even showing a bit of wear in the same places (tin is pretty soft). I even weighed them to compare, and they were exactly the same; in fact, now that they've been unwrapped, I defy anyone on earth to tell which is which. So I'm pretty confused about why the Norpro was $16.49 and the Browne was $23.57--I feel a little silly to have paid the $7 difference. (I see the price of the Norpro has gone up and the Browne has gone down--who knows why these prices change?) Bottom line is that you should select whichever one is less at the time you place your order, because they are the exact same pan.

Really nice quality. Stainless steel (not aluminum or nonstick is important to me personally).Norpro is a name I trust in bake ware and this tin doesn't let me down. I bought two and gave them their first test run. I was very happy with the result and did not have an issue with sticking (I did grease and flour the tins).

Wonderful size and weight! Quality heirloom type pans. So looking forward to getting these pans ready for use! I wish they had a hole for hanging but that's a piece of cake (no pun intended!). Love, love, love the size, weight, and metal quality of these! So glad I purchased two!

LOL, they do not tell you that you should only fill the little Madeleine' s only 1/2 full. So when I went to the get the tray out of the oven ... it was one big blob! The 2nd batch was wonderful, and when I took them to my bridge group everyone was impressed!

I was taking a class about Julia Child's cooking and I had to have a madeleine pan for a homework assignment and could not find any where that sold them. So I looked on amazon and there it was. Pan works great as long as you butter it well and flour too.It was a great find for me. I'm real happy with it.

I bought this as a "prop" for a professional styled shoot. The price was right, it arrived quickly and it's a sturdy pan. Maybe some day I'll use it for its intended purpose, but it does make a fabulous oyster serving tray in the meantime!

Considering it's $20, doesn't look like it's new condition. No logo/description on sheet, just a worn down sticker "Made in France"....

This is the second tray I got with Amazon.i love it. Don't burn the bottom of the madeleines. Easy to clean. I recommend it.

Perfect and it doesn't leak like my old ones does.

I wish I could have used this wonderful pan, but it was not the 13.5" stated--it was 15.5" and too big for my little oven. However, Amazon made the return hassle free, and it didn't cost me a thing to send it back--they paid for the shipping since it was their error (though it did take almost 4 weeks to get my CC credited).I see that they have changed the size to the correct measurement, which is great. Kudos to Amazon for good solid service and paying attention to keeping things on the up and up as stated on description pages. That's important for online buying and Amazon seems to know this...!

I really do not know whether this pan works or not. The article said the pan was 13.25" long... Wrong. The pan I received is 15.5" long and 9" wide. it is way too big for my little oven. I am looking for the size the article says it is: which is 13.25" by 6". Unfortunately, I will have to send this one back. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Cooked perfect Madeleines for my son's French food day at school. Ordered two and received them in two nights thanks to Amazon Prime.
