Strategic cooperative game.
Let me first start by saying that for the price, the game is excellent. The amount of stuff packed into this box is amazing and they don’t overcharge you. It’s a very easy game to learn and play but it’s also a long game. The rulebook is very well written and well structured. Once you place a few rounds you don’t really need to address the book. The game flows quickly due to many phases being done simultaneously. I just wish that they added a player aid or a “flowchart” to assist with each round. But it’s not that big of an issue. If you’re a fan of X-Com the board game or some semi-cooperative games, this is a very good pick.

The plastic figures give off a strong chemical smell that made me feel ill
The plastic figures give off a very strong chemical smell that filled up the entire room with fumes that made me feel ill.I played the game using figures from other games. It is an interesting game if it wasn't for the above issue. It takes up a lot of table space and takes a long time to play.

Level 7 Invasion
Another great game in the Level 7 universe. Invasion is a strategic game and is very well done. It can be played solo, although at times may seem overwhelming. The Aliens are all game controlled and there is no overseer or alien player. In the game, the 'nations' of Earth are trying to complete a different alien's Super Project to defeat the Hydra invaders. Meanwhile, the nations must fend off hordes of enemies. Combat is very streamlined and not very risk-like. Comparing Invasion to Risk is not the best comparison. Combat is much more simple since there are far fewer dice rolld involved. Nations get to perform research, buy troops and fend off the invaders.Good game with nice components and a colorful board. Again there are nice videos covering the game online.

A Sci-Fi Adventure That Doesn't Let Up!
Level 7: Invasion is a fun new game set in the grim world of an alien invasion. Three to five players lead various coalitions of nations as they fight the evil alien Hydra- North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Each player has his own player board that tracks information in several ways, including dials. In addition to fighting the evil Hydra with conventional military forces, each player is attempting to help the alien Ghin scientist develop a super weapon that is humanity's only hope. Even as they battle on land, players must move Dr. Cronos around the board, then must spend resources in order to complete their part of the project. This requires players to negotiate and trade throughout the game- making it something more that simply a cooperative wargame. The game plays out in three phases, each with five steps each, and one would think it would make for fiddly game play. In fact, the game plays pretty smoothly after that first round, and the game gets more and more intense the further it goes. One really cool aspect is the event step, in which each player must select a choice between two evils from an event card, then secretly place it in a slot under the board. Then, all of the events are read out and must be resolved. This represents the Hydra fighting back at the players and makes for some very intense game play. With its strong sci-fi theme lovers of great cooperative strategy games will really enjoy Level 7: Invasion. Like Level 7: Omega Protocol, this is a game that really sucks players in with its cinematic feel, intelligent and often original mechanics, and engaging game play. Highly recommended.
