Good combination of spices
I have ordered this a few times. I use it for smoked baby back ribs. I like to rub on a lot of rub to help create a think crunchy bark, and that's the problem with normal rubs. Their main ingredient is salt. I have messed up a few racks of ribs because they turned out too salty. With this, I can add a little salt and brown sugar, and use as much as I want.Last weekend I bought ribs to smoke and realized I was all out of this stuff. It had never occurred to me to check the ingredients. It turned out I had all six of the listed ingredients. Not knowing the proportions they used, I just dumped the whole bottle of all six into a big bowl and mixed it. Worked out great.

I decided to add this to one of my Amazon orders and I'm pretty pleased with it
I usually make my own blackening seasoning, as I go through a lot of it on Salmon and I can't always find it at the grocery store. I decided to add this to one of my Amazon orders and I'm pretty pleased with it. I like some salt in mine and I like more heat so I added 1 TBSP each of salt and cayenne pepper. There is very little heat to this product as is, so that might appeal to those who want blackened seasoning flavor without much heat and of course those avoiding salt. Despite having to make this minor addition, I did really like the flavor more than some others I've tried like Old Bay's version for example. The price was decent at around $8 and I do like not having to run out and replace little 2 or 3 ounce containers all the time.

Amazing Without The Salt!!!
This was great on some cod i made for my wife and i. I also bought the "Old Bay" style that has no salt. Both are amazing.

Marshalls Creek Spices Blackening Seasoning
We love Blackening seasoning on our seafood but were concerned with the high sodium content of the brand we were previously using. We recently purchased the Marshalls Creek Blackening season due to it having no sodium added. We are happy with the seasoning as we have tried it on several seafoods recently. It does seem to have a little less "zing" to it as the previous brand with the high sodium content so we have found we have to season the food somewhat heavier than we had with the other brand. We wish the container had a sieve or shaker head on it. When you open the cap on the bottle, the contents are exposed so you have to use some caution when shaking or pouring it out of the bottle onto your food.

It's nice that this mix has no salt
It's nice that this mix has no salt, but it also has little flavor, and for some reason tastes a little sweet. (I didn't find any sugar or sweetener on the label, so I can't explain the sweetness.) I have tried using it with some salt added, just to see if the lack of salt was the main problem, but adding salt really didn't do much to improve it. I appreciate the fact that this was offered in a salt free version, but I have to say something is either missing or the spices used were of very poor quality.Since this mix has received more favorable reviews than I am giving it, and as guidance to better understanding this review, of the several I have tried, my favorite Blackening Seasoning already mixed is "Cajuns Choice" but I was looking for something with less salt. I like Paul Purdhomme's recipe with about a third less cayenne than he calls for, and of course by mixing it yourself you can control the salt, but you have to buy a lot of spices to make it. Too my taste buds, this mix was bland.

Will not buy again.
Disappointed in the flavor or lack thereof. When opening the top, seasoning falls out. No plastic top to keep it in or to pour small amounts from. Will not buy again.

Has the flavour, no spice
Product has the blackened flavour, when we BBQed it with chicken, but zero spice.I'm going to jazz it up a bit, and see if that improves it. )

Add your salt to individual taste
Needs some salt, so I’m combining it with Hy’s Cancun so that I get “blackening “ for my Cajun Blackened Cesar Salad.

No Kick to it
The taste was good, but there was no spicy kick to it.

Good salt free blackening spice.
I liked that it didn’t have any salt added. I like to do that myself to my taste. Tried it on fish and will definitely add it to one of my go-to spice mixes.
