Start-XPlug N Play Remote Starter Kit for Chevy Silverado & Sierra 1500/2500/3500 2015-2023 / Key Start

Excellent quality product. Very well made and installation was easy on a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT work truck. I had to purchase a Dorman key fob to work with this system because the truck did not come from the factory with operational automatic door locks. The solenoids that operate the locks are already on the truck from the factory but they are not operational because the truck does not come with a key fob from the factory. Weird. But once I purchased the Dorman key fob, which comes with a programmer, I was able to control the door locks and therefore control the remote start system. But they work excellent together. Range isn't great with the Dorman. But it's pretty good.

This is a great product. It took like 30 mins to complete start to finish. That’s installing and programming. The hardest part is zip tying module out of the way if that tells you anything. I’m going to buy one for my wife’s car next.

Once I read the instructions a few times and looked up videos. It was an easy install. I did end up turning off the horn honk from pushing the lock button. works every time and now I don't have to get into a freezing truck when it - temp outside.

I will let you guys know how it holds up over time. Install wasn’t bad, hardest part was registering for the software. Worked on my 2016 sierra 1500 4x4 base model.

The seller shipped the product quickly, and it works as it says it would. Installation was straight forward and took less than an hour to install on my 2022 Silverado 3500 WT with Duramax diesel. By far a much cheaper option over the $600 parts/labor my local dealer wanted to add factory remote start.I would like to add that the 3 presses of the lock button on the factory fob have to be done slowly or it will not start, but you get use to it and it is no longer is an issue.

Update:I was finally able to find an old enough computer to do the install and I’ve had the remote start installed for over a year now. It worked great for about a year then I started having problems. At first when I’d go to remote start it I’d hear a click every 15 seconds or so then it just would not start. After about 2 months of that nonsense I just quit using the remote start all together. Then when I’d go to start the truck with just the key it would click and not start at all. I had to try about 3-9 times every time I want to start the truck before it’ll actually start. I took the remote start off this morning and the truck started first time. So after $220 and a year and a half and I’m back to a stock truck. I can not recommend this product.Original review:This product says it is the must inclusive remote start kit available but what it try’s to hide is the fact that it needs an older windows computer in order for you to finish the install. Now a days most people have phones and tablets so we can not use this kit. We do happen to have a MacBook but obviously that is not compatible with the software. I almost boxed it up when I got to that step but I said what the hell and took it to a friends house who had a laptop. Unfortunately after messing with the software for 20 min it was not compatible because he has windows 11. I’ve only done three remote start installs but this was by far the most complicated. I just put one on my sisters Toyota Sequía and I was able to use my phone to program the dcryptor which makes sense in 2022. Save your self the head ache and buy the kit that has everything you need in the box. I will be returning this kit

Amazon has this wrong.. 2019 Silverado 2500wt (work truck) .. which means the "stripped" model. Don't need the whistles and bells of the upgraded models.. but auto start with winter on the way was a luxury I wanted.. and now have. Missed the step of press the button 5 times during setup and had to start over, but all in all.. easy smooth installation. Did turn the horn off on the door lock feature - start up sequence ... I want my neighbors to keep liking me! Well worth the purchase price!
