Most Wooden handled tools need seasoning before use
Would think most people would know that wooden handled tools like this need to be seasoned before use. Submerge the hookaroons head in a 5gal bucket of water for at least 48hrs. Then always store tool outdoors and not indoors. This way the wood will naturally keep the correct moisture content causing the wood to swell slightly locking the tools head more permanently to its wood handle. The wooden handle came very dry and is shrunk considerably just due to the extremely hot n dry environment it was stored in prior to me receiving the tool. Always enjoyed the shape of their handles the weight of the tools head, and the quality of wood used… this is my second one only because I drove over the handle and broke it with the truck by accident while working in the woods the other day..

Back saver for sure
This is a good tool for sure. I would buy again. That said the handle at my dominate grip was a bit fat so I re-profiled it. No biggie this is a normal thing. Customizing a handle for a grip. One thing kind of bad is the head became loose after several days. I re-hung the head and installed extra wedges. I got them on Amazon. The head and specifically the point seem to be tempered great. Supper sharp and holding during the felling of 6 60 foot ash trees. Plus handling rounds during splitting. Might want to consider buying a package just in case yours gets loos too. If not you will have some for hanging an axe head or hammer head in the future. Bottom line I would buy again for sure.

Do not work in the forest without one.
Rolling into year five with mine. Property covered with dead standing and treefall. Combined, I have hustled, dragged, end for ended, and finagled easily tens of thousands of pounds of wood with this tool and at the end of the day my back feels fine. Have a flog wrapped up glove piercing brambles? Stick it with this and drag it anyway. Bright orange keeps it from vanishing in the brush and leaves. This hookaroon, chainsaw, peavy, logging chain and a brush scythe you can make ATV trails thru any area. Awesome tool. Hook from the side against the grain, pull with the grain, release by twisting back where you started. My back is so grateful.

Worst purchase experience on Amazon
This hookaroon broke at the head within about 10-12 strikes. I contacted the seller to request an exchange and was sent a return label. I sent it back with a request for exchange and haven't heard anything since from the seller. The UPS tracking states that it was delivered and received by "Bryan" at the "Dock". I cannot recommend this product even though I think Husqvarna is a good brand. Perhaps their quality control was off on this. As far as the seller, HLSProParts (HL Supply LLC, 331 Bill France Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114) - I strongly recommend people not do business with them!

Back-saving tool
Excellent quality. Don’t know how I did without this back saving tool for many years. Made working logs so much easier and with less back strain.

Don’t live without one of these
Everyone that touches a piece of wood needs one of these. I can’t believe I waited till I was 67 years old to buy one. It doesn’t matter if you have to walk along the road and pick up bottles till forward one of these they are fantastic.

Worth it
Well designed and made. Keep in mind this is not a striking tool like a hammer. I broke the first handle rather easily.

Bad quality control & customer service from the manufacturer & seller
It was apprentice day on the hafting line when they turned this one out. Gaps between the wedge & handle, head is loose, & grain orientation unacceptable. I contacted Husqvarna and they told me to deal with the seller. I messaged the seller & nothing. I'm returning it & buying somewhere else where I can look at it first.
