Strokes Gained are the key stat for knowing what to work on
Easy set up, easy to use. I never wore a watch while playing and this isn't obtrusive at all. The only finicky part about it is accurately reading where you putt from. I played 2 rounds with the putter tag on, but it fell off midway through the second round. I've since played 2 using the Manual Putt feature, where you tap the button at the location of each putt. Just don't forget to hit the button and the Pin Collect button at the hole. Each round has required post-round editing to fix where I putted from, but most of the shots with any clubs are in the right spot. One tip: don't let the strap "read" the club tag until you're at your ball. During the first round I used it the strap read the club tag as I was standing next to the tee box, rather than on it. So during editing it thought I'd hit my tee shots from outside the teeing area. It's just a matter of not letting the tag get near the strap until you're at your ball/on the teebox. I just hold the club in my right hand (watch on the left, I'm a righty). The GPS yardages have been pretty accurate, though I do rely on my rangefinder for an accurate read on how far the flagstick is. I haven't used the hazards feature much as some on my course (water) aren't on there. As for the stats, they're only as good as the accuracy of the shot location. That's why post-round editing is a must, to make sure all shots are recorded accurately.Being able to benchmark your Strokes Gained against various handicap levels is huge (Tour Pro, 0, 5, 10...). This shows you where you're losing strokes against that benchmark and what you need to work on. It's not necessarily hitting a bucket of drivers. It may be approach play or putting. And is it putting inside 10 feet or the 20-30 footers. No subscriptions or added costs once you've bought the watch. If I had it to do over again, I would buy this watch again.

Shot Scope V3 GPS Golf Watch is ok
I was looking for a golf gps watch to make it easier to track and manage my rounds better than the app on my phone. I wanted to be able to track all my shots so I could better determine how far I hit my clubs. What I liked about the Shot Scope is it did make it easier to see my distance to the green. Unfortunately, what I didn't like is that I couldn't get a good view of the entire hole, I still had to use the old app on my phone for this. I also didn't like that it didn't allow me to update my strokes for a hole when I finished the hole. I had to wait until I finished my round, then go back and edit the round. The watch missed about six strokes for the round. The problem was I was trying to edit the round when I got home and I had to look at my old app on my phone to see which hole it missed strokes on and when I told it to add a stroke to a hole, it showed me the hole and wanted me to add the stroke at the appropriate place on the hole. I don't know if I'm an anomaly, but pretty much after I finish a round, especially on a course I haven't played before, I don't remember all my shots for every hole. So, I couldn't accurately add in my missing strokes. Mainly because it didn't show me my strokes on the watch while playing my round, allow me to edit it right there, and didn't accurately track my strokes, I returned the watch.

Works great, until it doesn't - EDIT
I bought this watch at the end of June and got it in early July of 2021. It worked great initially and I really enjoyed it. A few rounds ago, it only picked up a third of the round. Since then, it hasn't picked up a single shot. GPS, while sometimes as much as 10 yards off, still works and is probably as good as any other GPS, but the shot tracking was the selling point. If you are looking for a reasonably priced GPS watch and don't care if shot tracking only works for less than a year, this is the watch for you. Otherwise, keep shopping.EDIT:I sent an email to Shot Scope and the customer service was excellent. They communicated quickly through email and sent me some troubleshooting tips. When these didn't work, they sent me a new band in the mail, and the watch is as good as new. I would change to 5 stars since the watch is great and customer service was great, but I'm worried about the longevity of the shot tracking portion since it initially stopped working within a year.

Not the best at anything but good at everything.
The Shot Scope V3 is a GPS watch that also tracks your shots and gives you shots gained data and for a one-time price making it a solid value. It's not as good at tracking and editing shots as Arccos, it's GPS isn't as good as other watches I've had like Bushnell. But overall it combines these 2 at a price point that makes it a good value and if they continue to improve their user interface, and update the GPS function to update quicker it will be excellent. It would also be great if based on your game it gave you practice games or drills to work on to improve weaknesses of your game.- The GPS aspect isn't as good as other GPS watches, I've found it can be slow to update distance. For example, I'll get to my ball, look at my watch for distance, grab my club and go through my routine only to hit the ball 10 yards too long, then I look at my watch again and it's updated the distance. This doesn't always happen maybe 1-2x every other round but it's frustrating when it happens.- It does a good job of tracking your shots and not needing to have my phone in my pocket or buy another device (like arccos link) is very nice. I wish the interface of editing shots was a little more intuitive, it takes a few rounds when doing post round editing to get the hang of it.- Battery life I've found is about 2.5 rounds at 4.5 hours.

Shot Scope V3 - GPS golf watch
I'd like to share my experiences with this watch. I purchased it to try and get real time feedback on my distances and short game. I'm an experienced golfer with a current handicap of 3.As you'd expect with modern technology the GPS function on this watch is faultless - easily locking onto a signal within seconds and automatically updating as you navigate around the course - even if that is side to side !!If GPS is your thing above all else then I'd plump for the G3 version which does not have tracking built in.So for the main I'm going to concentrate on the tracking function and outline some of my observations.Fitting the 'tags' to the clubs is a simple process - you the need to use the Shot Scope website or app to 'marry' the tags to your specific clubs in the 'My Bag' page.Once at the course, switch on the watch and make sure you highlight the correct course, and off you go.The watch strap has a built in sensor that 'pairs with' the tag, therefore registering the shot and subsequent tracking data - all done automatically.Once on the green, the watch display automatically changes to the 'Collect Pin' function and you tell the watch how much putts you needed to hole out. On finishing your game, you confirm on the watch and then 'sync' the data into the Shot Scope app. - then the fun begins!Editing your round is crucial to record as accurate data as possible - this is the point that may see some users get fed up very quickly - as you need to recall your round in detail in case there has been some errors within the data that the watch recorded - so far I'm OK with it, but it may still be the novelty factor the now. Some issues I've found that you need to be mindful of:-As mentioned above, the watch automatically pairs with a club when the tag gets close enough to the strap - therefore it may 'map' the wrong location for your shot - eg clubs at greenside and registers your putter (therefore thinking your ball is there too).Accurately recording distances on the green are something also to be mindful of - I now make a point to walking to my ball on the green and registering the putter as the club in use prior to marking ball/lining up my shot.If you play consecutive shots with the same club - it has no way of knowing that until you edit post roundAs an individual you'll work out the best way round the above issues to best suit.Having read up on similar products, there appears to be flaws with most on the market at the moment, and at time of writing I'm prepared to persevere with this oneHappy to answer any feedback/comments you may have.Stay safe everyone and enjoy your golf!

Brilliant!!
I’ve normally bought Garmin gps products for my golf watches, but decided it was time for a change. This watch is brilliant I put the tags into the end of the corresponding club, registered on the app and away I went. The watch picks up the course very quickly, it recognises your club choice quickly and it recognises when you’re on the green quickly. You have to register the number of putts manually by pressing the corresponding button, but that’s it. After you finish your round and pressed the finish round button, the results are ready to view immediately on the app on your phone. After several rounds, It then works out your club distance for each club. It really is a brilliant piece of kit.

Excellent Range Finder
I already had a Garmin G30 device , which is attached to my trolley. I wanted something that tracked the distances I was hitting shots and combined with getting the front, middle and back distances this watch fitted the bill. I was slightly worried about being able to read the screen as I need to wear reading glasses when reading books or newspapers etc. Didn’t need to worry as I can see the screen on this watch fine without needing my glasses. It does take a bit of getting used to via the app you download but this is becoming easier with each round played. I would certainly recommend this device if you’re interested it knowing the distances you hit your clubs and therefore which club to use once the watch gives you the distance to go.

Great buy
Great product, highly accurate when out on the course, battery life could be a bit better but will easily get through 27 holes if using GPS + track and 36 holes if only using GPS... you have to remember to physically log number of putts each hole (easy just a click of a button if you remember) do find you have to edit your round when uploading to app as not all shots (or putts if you've forgot to log) get registered.. only other downside (but no biggy) is the uploading/updating of courses, for some reason once you connect watch to app it recognises updates are available but is unable to start the upload remaining on 0% easy fix is turn off bluetooth and then reconnect and works straight away 2nd time around.. inconvenience more than anythingOverall though is a great watch looks nice on the wrist highly accurate on course (do give it a few seconds to adjust distance fully when you reach your ball though) picks up clubs and distances well and the app gives a wealth of information to help improve your overall game

It's simply brilliant
I only bought this as I have a new set of irons and I'm struggling to know how far I hit them, I've used this for 4 rounds and it's already saving me 3 or 4 shots a round by picking the right club, yes it takes a while to edit every hole afterwards to make sure everything is correct and it does miss the odd shot that you have to add on but it's really quick and easy to do and worth the effort, it's really easy to use it charges quickly it's lightweight and does what it says it can, the app is brilliant shows you every shot on every hole, in my opinion it's worth every penny it's just brilliant, I play off 12 and desperately want to try and get down into single figures this is already helping me, we all think we hit it further than we actually do this convinces you that you don't so its really simple to pick the correct club now, if you already know how far you hit each club then you only need the g3 watch not this one, saving £60 or £70, but yeah it's great I love it already and as I already said worth every penny, buy one you won't regret it
