Type 2 Diabetes Necklace Medical Alert ID Stainless Steel Pendant with 26" Chain

I thought from the description of "pilot rings so it can be easily shortened" that I could just move the clasp to shorten the length, but the links are too small for the lobster clasp to go into. I'm not sure what a "pilot" ring is. I searched it, but only found aviation related jewelry. As a female, I found the necklace uncomfortably long, and the pointy parts of the pendant continually poke my cleavage, and I'm always having to move it. I was able to add my own jump rings to make the necklace shorter, with a long end dangling in back, but I'm not liking that either. I'm not on insulin, I just wanted this as an alert since I'm older and worry about heart attacks and strokes. Having it short enough to be comfortable makes it a focal point, instead of a back up in an emergency, which isn't what I was looking for. I also find the pendant a little big and heavy to be quite comfortable, even shortened, and it sticks to my skin in the hot weather. I've looked for smaller pendants, but haven't found any with the red medical alert symbol, which I wanted, as well. If you're a man, or a woman who isn't well endowed, you may love it. I'm wearing it for now, but it's not working comfortably for me, and I'll be looking for something without points, and more like 1/2" to 3/4" for the pendant. This is my first such necklace, since I was just diagnosed, and I didn't realize the things I've listed would be a problem, so just a heads up to any other women buying one for themselves for the first time. Shipping was fast, the quality seems excellent, except for not being adjustable, it just hasn't worked out for me.

My only complaint would be how easy for the wording to fade/scratch off if you aren't careful wearing it.

Nothing fancy - The pendent is okay. The chain is surprising good in quality.

I bought this for my husband to wear under his shirt during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's great because you cannot see he's wearing it but if something happens, it'll be helpful for any medical personnel.

Triple wrapped to insure you get it as clean and unblemished as it was manufactured. Single element is better than two piece where alert emblem is adhered to a plate. Chain is long enough to avoid dealing with clasp when you have to take it off and put back on. Qualification between Type 1 and Type 2 is also important. I previously owned one that only had "diabetic" on it...and the alert symbol came off the plate.

Nice chain length, can be worn inside or outside of clothes. Makes me feel a little safer when I go out, my sugar drops sometimes & hopefully if I passed out someone would find this on me & know how to help.
