I use this set for elements of iconography paintings. I am very impressed with the quality and accuracy for the price. In my opinion this set is well worth the price. I asked my husband, who is an engineer, what his opinion was of this set and he agreed with my assessment.

These arrived either not even fully assembled, or with most of the smaller parts having worked loose and fallen off in transit. All were present, and I did manage to put the pieces together....but these are supposed to be precision instruments and they are not.The best description of how they are fitted together would be... Floppy.Not what you want if you're trying to draft a clean and accurate circle.Go with Staedtler or something comparable.Or failing that, get a board, a drill, a hammer, and a small nail, and make something yourself.It will take less time and be less frustrating than trying to work with this cheap, and mostly plastic junk.

The device does what I need it to do. I was able to use my own pen by using the attachment that it came with. No need to buy the special ink that they recommend. However, I might look into it in the future.

I got this to draw circles on cymbals to cut them smaller to get rid of cracks. These are fine on paper if you clamp them down. The legs can bend in other directions while you spin the compass if you do not clamp them down. I'm not sure if I was missing some of the screws because I only have enough to clamp down one compass or the other, but not both. It's nice that it comes with extra metal heads and lead. I'm sure I'll use it for some craft that I need to draw circles for, I just wasn't able to get a consistent circle on an irregular surface. Maybe if it were a little more sturdy it would have. They tried to make it so it could be used in many different types of situations, but that caused it to be less sturdy because the legs can wobble while moving if not really tightened down.

I don't remember the listing saying this item was used, but it definitely was. The case arrived with broken hinges, not caused by shipment. One of the screws on the compass shows that an attempt to tighten it was made, and the head of the screw is bent. All connecting points are wobbly. Would not buy again.

I’m anxious to use them.

Purchased as a gift. Have not received any complaints on the operation yet. I’ll let you know if I have any. To me it sounds like a good product I purchased.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed when there are so many stars…. Not quite what is in the video and zero instructions included. Buyer beware, it bends at joints when you are trying the make circles!?! What gives? Not sturdy or durable. Also, what kind of replacement lead would you need? Comes with a lead sharpener blade, but how does one use that? Instruction would be nice. Getting exactly what you saw would be nice? Having it not unscrewed when it arrives (though based on other reviews I was half expecting that). So there you go!
