Taking the fear out of balancing...
My son was a riding master with his 12 inch bike with training wheels, but he wouldn’t ride without the training wheels. He is high functioning autistic and has developed a fear of falling. As he got older he needed a bigger bike. He still hasn’t mastered balancing and has hated the new bigger bike because it is heavy. He cries if he has to get on it. Since he has been reluctant to learn to ride since, I switched to a balance bike after reading the reviews. He will actually get on this one and likes that it is a lot lighter than the bike with petals. We are still working on balance, but he likes that there aren’t pedals in his way if he needs to put his feet down to stop. On regular bikes he would have to stick his legs out past the pedals to attempt to stop and toddle over in the process since he has slammed on brackets before and been tossed over the handle bars (I’m stil not sure how that happened, but he was going down hill so I blame physics.) I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone with a child on any part of the spectrum. I only wish someone had told me earlier to start with this instead of the way children are traditionally taught to ride a bike. All kids should start with a balance bike and this one is the lightest in the market for this size.

Love this larger size adjustable balance bike for my special needs son.
I love this bike. My son is a huge 3 year old with a disability. Most balance bikes are too small for him but he refuses to ride anything else. I found this one online which is the perfect height and adjusts bigger. It was easy to assemble and came with a very nice pop-out card encouraging kids to get out and ride but to ride responsibly. I feel like the material of the bike is very heavy duty and well-made. I am overall very impressed with this bike. It came with a little bell which was a surprise to me but my son loves. Has reflectors for safety. Love it! Would 100% recommend to others. Thank you JOYSTAR

Poor quality
Do not waste your time and money on this bike it is very heavy and our frame was bent in the rear wheel was crooked go ahead and spend a little extra and get the bixe bike.. the bixby bike is lighter better made and a lot more for the money than this poorly made one

Instructions need work
I put it together using the picture since the instructions were very vague. It was not correct; I’d put the front on backwards. The brakes were not come adjusted correctly (they did not touch the wheel at all when I squeezed the handbrake). I had a friend who bikes competitively look at it, and he informed me I’d put it together wrong and helped me fix it, and he had to adjust the breaks and told me it was a two person job to do so without a special tool. So, putting a bike together without clear instructions is better left to someone who knows what they’re doing. Even with this special tool he mentioned, I never would have been able to figure out how to adjust those brakes. The bike itself is okay. My son loves it. And After all that, he still uses his feet to make it stop.

GREAT confidence builder for no training wheels!
Worth the money for the confidence that was built in our son riding this for no more than 10 minutes and he rode his big boy bike, without training wheels! I wish I would have listened to myself, instead of my hubs, and invested in a balance bike years ago. Our son just turned 5 and is VERY tall for his age, so the center of gravity is higher on his bicycle. Hes over 4' tall and the 16" balance bike was perfect. It was scary for him to ride his regular bike without trainers previous to the addition of the balance bike. We've had it less than a week and he's riding like a pro on both now, 100% worth it!

Worth every penny
I’ve been trying to get my son to ride his bike without training wheels for soooo long. 4 years… he got the courage up last year to try, fell and has been afraid ever since. He would ride his scooter like a maniac though so I knew his balance was there… I saw this balance bike and figured it was worth a try… y’all … he rode this thing TWICE around the block… got on his bike and pedaled away. Yesterday we rode over two miles on our bikes , no training wheels. I don’t even care that he only used this thing for all of 20-30 min it was worth every penny to see him take off on his bike.

It has two wheels but not much else
First, the plus, which was the box was damaged but the bike itself was very well wrapped and did not suffer any damage. The bad is that the front brakes were so out of adjustment it wasn't funny and to top it off, the instructions made no mention on how to correct. I struggled for over an hour and even though I have a garage full of tools once the bolt/nut holding the assembly together spun out, I resorted to cutting the brake system off of the bike with a cut off tool as it was 10:30PM and needed to be ready by the morning. All in all, I was hesitant to purchase and wish I would have went a different route.

Missing pieces :(
My 5 year old son was so excited to have this and help his dad put it together. It's not bad.. But unfortunately we are missing his reflectors and his bell. He is so bummed to not have his bell! When the box arrived, it was flimsy.. the packaging could have been better and more secure and maybe we would have gotten all the parts... Hopefully we are able to get those missing parts replaced.
