Works well
Update 2: I bought my 2nd motion detector outlet as the receivor of the 1st one broke. The reason it broke was because of the continuous multiple detection within a short period of time. There were days that had gust wind and rain, the curtain by the window moves for days. I knew the motion set was contantly working because of the wind and curtain, so I turn of my air purifier ( the electronic that attaches to the receiver ), but I forgot to unplug the receiver and it eventually burn out from literally constantly 24h/day x n day being on and off.The 2nd motion detector set works well. It turns on when it detects motion, and turns off automatically after 10 minutes. This time I put the sensor in a box, to limit its detection from certain angels. This trick helps a lot since my cat walks to the litter box only from certain direction. ( I use the motion set to turn on and off an air purifier next to my cat's litter box)-------Update: having this device for about half of year, it works great. If you put the device near a curtain, it will react as contain moves by wind. It doesn't turn on the device for no reason. It has a sensitive sensor and with a wide detection range, anything that moves, even heat will trigger the sensor.--------Old review:bought this to turn on air purifier next to cat litterbox.about 1month of use, this device starts to acting weird: when there isnt anything moving, it turns on.other than that, it works for me. It turns on a device for 10 mins and turns it off automatically.I sometimes watch horror movies or tv shows in the same room, and I think it also detects ghosts. It turns on when there isnt anything moving. It does add some extra effect when watching scary movies...If you are looking for something with this rare functionality, you can give it a try.

Works Well
This works much better than the off-brand alternatives you find here on Amazon.

What you need to know, if you want more than one!
This remote switch is great. Nicely priced. Easy to install. I would definitely recommend to others. BUT... there's a hitch. If you want to install more than one in your house, you must buy each with a different frequency. I ordered two through Amazon and they sent me both on the same frequency. That won't work.I worked 20 years as a professional electrician and many years as an electronics tech, so rather than send one back, I modified it to be on a different frequency. But listen carefully! I DO NOT recommend you try to modify any of these units. IT IS DIFFICULT, and if done wrong, could lead to you electrocuting your pets, your children, or burning your house down, or all of the above. Besides that, I had to machine my own security screwdriver to open the plug unit. They used a triangle shaped screw head that I've never seen before. The manufacturer did not make it easy to switch frequencies, SO DON'T DO IT.When I first started to tear into it, I thought about making an instructional video for the task. I know that 8 out of 10 do-it-yourselfers would be fine. However, it's those 2 out of 10 idiots that worry me. I don't want to be responsible for encouraging the less-than-talanted to do some harm. There is a much simpler way to obtain several on different frequencies. Just go to your local hardware store and look on the backs of the bubble-packs they come in. You will see a sticker with a large A or B or C or D. Those represent the 4 different frequency codes available. Buy all different codes and you'll be good to go.

Nice But Not for Us
The remote switch is a nice option to have when you cannot have a hard wired switch. It is easy to install and works nicely. It looks like a regular wall switch (with some added depth). My only issue with the remote switch is that you need to have different frequencies if you want more than one switch in your home. I purchased three switches hoping to get different frequencies. However, I received all "A" switches. Because they were all "A" if I turned off one switch, all three lights (in different rooms) would turn off. Amazon could not guarantee that I would get a different frequency and I could not locate "B" or "C" through other sites so I decided to return the switches. It is a great idea and the price was nice but since I could not have three independent switches, the system just would not work for us. If I only needed one switch this would be my go to product for sure.

Works great but could be designed better
I have had an old model somewhat similar to this for over 25 years. It finally stopped working well. I was so pleased when I got this. It's so much easier to use than the flip switch. I barely have to touch the rocker switch. I wish I had gotten this replacement sooner. One of my complaints is the 2 very tiny screws to install the casing. Even with a magnetic screwdriver, it was difficult to get the screws into the wall. Also, the light that shines from the hole in the middle of the receiver is much too bright. But I resolved that by putting on about 3 garage sale type "dots" as they're called. About 1 inch circles. (I do the same thing on other electronic equipment, PCs, speakers, etc. that have the same type bright light). That has dimmed the light to a normal level and hasn't affected the working of the remote. I also wish the receiver wasn't as big as it is. It takes up 2 of my 4 outlets, although it only uses one plug, it "hangs" over to the other plug rendering that plug unusable. Even with all my complaints, I would still buy again.

Funcional
Práctico para aparatos sin switch de encendido. La única queja es que los tornillos que trae para montaje son casi microscópicos, imposibles de maniobrar. Ten en cuenta tener otros tornillos para su instalación, fuera de eso, el producto es funcional

Great product have had it for years now
Have had for multiple years i cant even remember when exactly, but its worked awesome batteries haven't died only problem was that the switch only works on one side but id doesn't really affect the performance and it was likely because of my toddler throwing it across the house for fun

1 Switch can control 2 Outlets!
I bought 2 of these because, based on the reviews I read, I was hoping that I could use just 1 switch to control 2 outlets at the same time (in the same room). I tried it, and it worked perfectly! Works great if you want to turn on 2 lights in the same room using just 1 switch. The other switch still works as a spare. So thankfully, for this application, it's very useful to have them both on the same frequency.
