super useful
only one complaint, it takes forever to charge by hand with the crank. I highly recommend using a usb cable for the initial charge and the hand crank to keep it topped up, as charging this device to full with the hand crank is nearly impossible. However, once it is charged it will last for a really long time with minimal maintenance. the sound quality is better than expected when properly tuned into a station. the lights are amazingly bright. the solar panel seems to work decently although I feel it is slightly undersized for the battery capacity.

It works!!
O bought this for just in case purposes abs I've needed it more then I thought and when the light go out i go right to this on my windowsill abs it works everything's every time and if I lose energy I got the crank on the back I never needed to use it it holds the charge until the get the power back on so it got a USB charger on it for the phone and a radio to hear the local radio stations to see what's going on so I give this a5 stars lol I feel like the judges on AGT .

Sturdy, good radio reception and sound, bright lights
This little radio has surprisingly good sound. I've been listening to the radio on it and getting decent reception. It's a little hard to tune in stations with the knob because the dial is so tiny, but if you take your time it can be done. The lighting functions are fantastic. Three settings for the flashlight as well as a reading lamp. The body is solidly built so it should survive hiking and camping just fine.My only concern is the wrist strap. The strap itself seems OK. It's made of a lightweight stretchy material. The caribiner seems cheaply made. I don't think it would last very long hanging from a belt or backpack. The string on the end of the strap where it attaches to the radio feels like a waxy cord. Stronger than some string but I have no idea how it will perform under pressure. All that said, I would recommend this radio/flashlight. We have frequent power outages where I live and this has come in handy several times already.

Great so far
I just got this radio in case of emergencies and really like it so far. I was able to find a couple of good radio stations, the sound is clear and the lights are really bright! I love that you can easily charge it multiple ways!

Incredibly small for full featured
Although the measurements are given in the description, my perception of what that meant was way off. This radio is so small which will be great for space saving in my survival gear box ! So many useful features. I suspect it could wear your arm out cranking it and depending where you live will certainly determine the amount of time it takes for solar to be effective, though it is nice to have all those options. I'm thinking, attach the crank to my bicycle hub (off ground) and pedal ! It did pick up some local FM radio, but technically FM requires an antenna 30.5" long to be truly effective, this one is about 8" long. AM on ther otherhand will work with a coathanger. I have no idea yet as to how long the battery life will be. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase ! Cheers

Handy gadget to have for emergencies.
I got this for "just in case" purposes. Lately there has been a lot of storms passing through and I'm terrified that we will lose power. I love that this radio has several different way to charge. The solar panels on top allow for easy charging on a sunny day. There is the traditional, plug into a wall outlet way or charging which is simple and easy. The crank option will come in handy if it runs out of battery and there is no where to plug in to recharge. The crank portion turns very smoothly and doesn't require a lot of effort which I appreciate. The radio can pick up signal of local stationa clearly and the volume adjusted easily. The sound for the radio can turnup to quite loud. Very handy gadget to have in case of emergency or even for camping.

Disappointing but still useful
I have mixed feelings about this unit. I wanted it for charging devices in an outage scenario. The hand crank dynamo works well. It seems to be somewhere a 1:1.5 to 1:2 ratio. Every minute of cranking by hand gives you 1.5 - 2 minutes of battery life. The sound quality is decent, radio reception is decent, and it seems to be weatherproof as mine gor rained on and is fine. The lights are pretty bright too.The solar panel though, is junk. Purely ornamental. I've left it in the bright hot sun on a clear day, for about 6 hours, and it never charged it more than 25%. On a rainy day, completely useless.
