Expensive, but very good
It's solidly built and I expect it to last a very long time on my lanyard. One concern I have is the USB a port which doesn't cover very well making it potentially vulnerable to getting dirty or damaged if you use it in harsher conditions. I bought this primarily to use as a convenient 2-factor login and quick locking for my laptop and desktop on Fedora 40 and that works pretty great. You can add up to 10 prints, though you might want to add 2 for each finger because it only does 4 taps per print making it a little less reliable if you don't put your finger on the right spot though it's generally a really good reader. I also use this for passkeys in place of my phone or as a second factor and that works great. Do note that some apps might have a whitelist for keys outside of the FIDO alliance especially in corporate settings so you may want to check with your IT department first if that is what you plan on using the key for. Some reviews on this and similar keys have issues with setup and the key doesn't ship with instructions of any sort, mostly because it works just like any other key and you can set it up in windows or chromium just like every other key with no drivers. You will likely need external software for login on windows outside of Windows hello because of artificial limitations. This isn't a normal fingerprint reader, it's a security key and you'll have to set it up as such. Overall I'm quite happy with it and I expect it to last a long time. I'll try to update this in the future if anything changes.

Solid metal design with a good print reader
This thing feels solid and well constructed out of metal. I have both versions type a and type c the type c works great but is made from a plastic composite. I would have just gotten two type a USB because it's much easier to find adapters that fit if say u want to use it on a iPhone or type C Android. It was very easy to set up. But it's also easy from someone to reset as well.

BioPass FIDO2

Does the job reliably
The BioPass FIDO2 K27 is a reliable device that works as intended and makes enrollment easy with its custom software. Setting it up was straightforward, and it functions smoothly without any issues. However, the design feels a bit bulky and leans toward an industrial look, which might not appeal to everyone. I think it could benefit from being more compact and sleek to make it more portable and visually appealing. Despite this, it’s a solid choice for secure authentication needs. Overall - no real complaints.
