Page turner
Chapters were nice and short, and there was a very engaging plot, quick read. I'll likely try out some other books of hers.

GREAT THRILLER !
JULY 2022 : 4 STARS.DESCRIPTION: A total stranger on the subway platform whispers, “Take my baby.” She places her child in your arms. She says your name. Then she jumps…In a split second, Morgan Kincaid’s life changes forever. She’s on her way home from work when a mother begs her to take her baby, then places the infant in her arms. Before Morgan can stop her, the distraught mother jumps in front of an oncoming train. She also can’t understand how this woman knew her name. The police take Morgan in for questioning. She soon learns that the woman who jumped was Nicole Markham, prominent CEO of the athletic brand Breathe. She also learns that no witness can corroborate her version of events, which means she’s just become a murder suspect.REVIEW: I read this author’s second book, Watch Our For Her (‘22 - 5 Stars) first, and then jumped right into this one. Like her first book, for me, love how she ends the chapters with some cliffhangers when bouncing from before and now. A different plot for me. Liked how some unknown facts were revealed along the way.

Impeccable pacing, relate-able characters, grabbed me from page one!
If you are looking for something to get absorbed and distracted entirely from reality, this is a book which will make you forget all your obligations because you just have to keep reading.I read this novel in less than a day- the most absorbed I’ve been by a book in a while. The pacing is impeccable, the characters are relatable, and it pulled me in from page one.Morgan Kinkaid is waiting for her subway train when a stranger thrusts her baby into her arms - then jumps. But from there the situation gets worse and worse for Morgan. The cops don’t believe that the killer didn’t know her. They suspect Morgan pushed the woman, which means Morgan is against the clock to find out what really happened —for example, why did the woman know her name?— and prove her innocence.Told through the point of view of Morgan and the woman who died, and in the vein of the best suspense novels, as a reader you always know just a little more than the protagonist in an ‘oh no look out!’ kind of way. All I’ll say is good luck putting the book down once you start!A 5 star escapist read that pulled me in and didn’t let go, with a satisfying ending.

Above average mystery with lots of twists and turns
An easy read, fair amount of twists and it kept my interest. But I figured out who the guilty person was , which I hardly ever do. It's a good beach read or something to read between heavier books.

An irresistible page turner
Reminiscent of The Woman in the Window, this novel was a quick paced, irresistible page turner that will keep you on your toes. I enjoyed this book thoroughly and read it in less than 2 days. Although the novel is written very well, I do wish the characters were a bit more developed and the novel longer. I was able to pick up on the direction of the plot rather early, however, the final developments were not exactly how I pictured it. Overall, this was a fun, quick thrill of a read & I do recommended it.

Perfectly fulfilled my genre expectations and more
I finished Woman on the Edge by Samantha M. Bailey in two sittings and now I can see why her fans are so crazy about her books (the things you learn on social media!) One busy young career woman has a tiny baby thrust into her arms seconds before the child’s mother takes her own life—or does she? The baby soon becomes a pawn in a high-stakes game. Meanwhile, we follow a successful young woman who is is taking time out of her busy schedule for maternity leave—a few weeks to stay home, relax, and await the birth of her first child. But someone wants her to think back on their shared past, to be afraid, or quite possibly, this person wants her dead. The cast of characters is relatable but their actions are always unpredictable. Now I want to read her other books, too. I bought Watch Out For Her and just pre-ordered the next one, coming in March.

TAUT, TENSE, AND A GOOD READ!
I really wanted to “get away from it all” and this book was just the ticket. The premise is simple – A woman hands her baby to a stranger on a train platform, calls her by name, tells her to take care of her baby, then jumps onto the tracks. So many questions. In alternating chapters, the story focuses on the two women. In the first person, we get to know Morgan, who was given the baby – and in the third person, we learn about the baby’s mother, Nicole, and all that happened to make her do such an extraordinary and tragic thing. As the book progresses, there are questions and answers, suspicions and accusations, theories and more theories … and slowly … the pieces start to come together … but the big picture is still unclear … until all is revealed.A terrific choice if you’re looking for an absorbing read. I particularly liked the theme of redemption … but that’s all I’ll say.

Fast Read
Frankly I enjoyed the writing and the pace of the story. The story was a bit over the top…however fiction is to be enjoyed and honestly I found myself turning the pages until the end.

A Fantastic, enthralling read, that will keep you guessing from beginning to end!
Well, I was certainly a ‘woman on the edge’ of her seat reading this book. The opening chapter is a jaw-dropper when Morgan is passed a baby on the platform of the subway by a woman who then proceeds to jump in front of a train. If that isn’t enough to draw you in straight away, then I don’t know what is!The police are quickly suspicious that there is more to this than suicide and poor Morgan becomes prime suspect number one!The chapters alternate between Morgan and Nicole. We follow Morgan as she tries to clear her name and get to the bottom of why this stranger did what she did, and we follow Nicole from the birth of her baby up to that fateful day on the platform!I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With page after page of nail-biting twists and turns, but also some heart-wrenching moments too, it really does make for an unputdownable read! I really felt for both women and desperately wanted to help them, and I was suspicious of everyone around them. I loved that the story was fast-paced as I never once lost interest and each chapter always left a little cliff-hanger, so I just wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next. This book is a debut for this author and what a cracking debut it is, I can’t wait to see what Samantha writes next.

Good debut!
When a complete stranger with a baby approaches Morgan on the subway platform and addresses her by name, she doesn’t have much time to react before the woman gives her the baby and jumps. When Morgan is taken in for a statement, she learns that the victim is a prominent CEO of the athletic brand Breath. Although there doesn’t seem to be a connection between the two women, Morgan becomes the prime suspect when other witnesses can’t corroborate her version of events.Told form two POV’s, Morgan as she struggles with what she has witnessed, wondering how she is connected to all of this and trying to clear her name, and Nicole before that fateful day. This was an enjoyable, fast paced book with plenty of tension and mystery. Looking forward to reading her next book! 3.75 ⭐️

An easy read!
Loved this. An easy read, fast-paced and an insight into 2 different characters. It was interesting to see a perspective from a female in a high-powered job. The male character was sometimes a bit odd, but I enjoyed it regardless!
