For it to fit in the position it was designed to on the trailer, I had to make a minor modification to it before it would fit properly onto my Ranger Trail trailer. I would suspect this would be the case with it's compatibility with many Ranger Trail trailers with surge brakes. A word to the manufacturer - you may want to give some thought to an appearance upgrade on this product. It is utilitarian only and doesn't complement the appearance of a boat rig at all. In the function department however, the EZ-Troll side step gets an A+ !

I am 71 years old & felt I needed a step added to my boat trailer to assist me unloading or loading boat since I fish a lot by myself. Tumbled into water a couple of times unfortunately drowned wallet & cell phone. After wife stopped laughing when I got home we realized my phone was shot and had bruising on my back from hitting concrete ramp. This step is excellent as it is larger than looks, easy to install and above all works great. I am totally pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to any & everyone

Wish it had fit -- it is study, lightweight, (should be) easy to install & we wanted it to work. Our rails are 3" & this only goes up 2 3/8" .. But it is definitely cool & we bought a significantly lesser product.

When I boat my boat it had 1 already, after needing a step relocated I decided to purchase 2 more. the steps are high quality I am a big guy and it holds me well. I would recommend to any one who wants to have a step that's affordable without making serious mods permanently to their expensive trailer. it has stainless hardware that's included. go get one you will not be disappointed.

I installed this on the trailer for a Triton TR196 because the boat sticks well over the trailer frame and it was difficult to step out of the boat onto the frame. I was a bit concerned that it might be to flimsy since it's made out of plastic but it's not at all. I'm a good sized fellow and my fishing partner is nearly 300 pounds and it feels very stable to both of us. I like it and the convinence it provides so much that I've also bought one that goes over the trailer tongue and installed it. It's great as well!

BEWARE! This step cannot be used on the tongue of most boat trailers. My EZ Loader trailer is for a 14' fishing boat weighing less than 1000 lbs. but the tongue is still 2 1/2' wide. Step will not fit. The only part of the frame narrow enough to use the step on is well beyond where I needed it. I gave the step 2 stars because it looks well made very usable if it would have fit.

Great . Helps when getting in and out of boat when loading and unloading.
