They do the job
These springs fit over the outside of tubing so that you can bend tubing without kinking it. You can bend a pretty tight radius with these too but any tubing has it's limit before kinking. I have only used these on copper tubing.

Customer service and quality
I got this to bend rubber hose with out kicking them . Bend them to where it needs to be and heat it up and when it cools it will keep that shape.

Low-tech, high utility
These are very simple tools and as such, it’s kinda hard to mess it up. I bought these to replace a set I bought in 1976 or so but lost in the meantime. I am satisfied with my purchase and bought these as just another piece of tubing bending tools. As a speciality automotive engineer, I find even working on a single marque, an assortment of tools is always of benefit. If you’re looking for a simple tool for bending soft-ish tubing, it is hard to beat for the price-but, this tool is only one of several one will likely want on hand for more complex jobs

Not that easy to bend
They actually do bend smooth but takes a strong arm to bend half inch copper.

Didn't help, but probably was my issue
I was trying to bend regular 1/2" copper tubing and these didn't help, but that was probably because I didn't properly anneal the copper first. My bad. I switched to soft copper tubing for the things I needed to bend (anoutside application supporting garden art) and it all worked fine. So, I really didn't give them a proper test and I'm only writing this review to stress the importance of annealing the copper tubing or using soft copper tubing.

Maube I am not strong enough to use it.
I wanted to make a small bend to a 1/2" pipe. I followed the instructions of the "manual" attached. I couldn't bend it at all. Even as I used my knee for support. The pipe refused to bend. I am sure this is supposed to work with type L pipes, As it was an old pipe I am not sure of the type. It was a residential copper pipe though. so it shouldn't have been so hard. But one never knows. I could not bend it at all using this gadget.
