Carbon Express Maxima Hunter Fletched BuffTuff Plus Carbon Crossbolt with R2 Vanes, 6-Pack, Mossy Oak Treestand Pattern

I researched a lot of carbon bolts before I settled on these. I felt it was the best bang for the buck, so to speak. I was going to Buffalo County, Wisconsin for trophy whitetails, and I wanted to upgrade my lower cost bolts. I shot a respectable 9 point, and two does with the same bolt, and it is still straight as an arrow and in excellent condition. The durability, accuracy, and speed of these bolts are very similar to higher costing bolts.

Ordered Carbon Express CX2 crossbow which came with three of these bolts. needed more bolts so checked reviews and bought some of another brand at local sports store.Ordered a six pack from Amazon, (best price I could find). The Maxima Hunter bolts arrived early and I did some comparisons. These bolts wiegh less than most. they shoot more accurately and sink deeper into target than others.These bolts also shoot flatter which increases effective range. They will be in my quiver when ELK hunting next week. Very happy with purchase and product.

These seem to be very well made & consistent.No flyers. Used in 3 x bows with various weight tips.

Well I ordered these bolts.and then changed my mind, and decided just to order the fire bolts that came with my crossbow. Anyway I had planed to return them, but once they arrived and opened the package, Well they are some very gooood lookin bolts. But with a 100 grain tip they end up weighing around 30 grains more than the fire bolts.But I could not help myself I had to shoot them. and they shoot the same p.o.i. as my fire bolts with no adjustments to my scope needed. Soooo I am keeping them!! Just to pretty to send back, and they shoot great,so carbon express and fire bolts will be what I will be taking into the woods this year. Took the time to weigh these on a calibrated analytical balance with +/-0.005 mg of error... These arrows are not 290 grains as advertised, they're 300. Does it matter? probably not, but keep it in mind for ballistic calculations. Additionally, the minimum weight I tested was 298.5 grains and the max was 300.7, so take the time to match heavy arrows with light field tips (and do the opposite for light arrows).As far as build quality goes though, I'm very impressed - they seem to be built well with a nice finish and great fletching. Haven't gotten a chance to shoot them, but I'll update the review if there are any negatives.Only giving 4 stars for the inaccurate description - someone from CE needs to address this.

These are good quality crossbow bolts I have fired them several times and they are great bolts will buy some more

Can’t go wrong with these arrows although the deer don’t seem to like them there spot on 🦌

Was surprised the vanes were longer than the originals, was going to send them back but called Carbon Express directly with my concern. They assured me the larger vanes are new and improved and more accurate. The original smaller vanes are extremely accurate, so if Carbon Express says it’s new arrows are improved, I will buy that, kept them and will hope for the best.

These are great bolts. At fifty yards, I am hitting a 3” diameter circle each time. Not bad considering my crossbow is an entry level crossbow.But sadly, 2 of the bolts are no good. They fly very crooked. Over 8” off target at 50 yards.I would like to return these 2 crooked bolts to be replaced if it was possible.
